The Jays fans are really classy people, just like the Royals fans who gave Miggy a standing ovation when he got the Triple Crown.
Baseball fans in general are classy people it wouldn’t had mattered where he did it
Yea the Blue Jays is classy too. They let the Tigers win the memorial match in which Miggy got the 500th HR.
Except when they play each other. Then it can get nasty. Lol. 🇨🇦🇺🇸🙏
Jays fans are typically douchy... I've gotten in fights with them
Also a lot of Detroit fans from Windsor, Sarnia, etc. (basically anywhere sw of London) there.
Top of the 9th, two outs, 2 strike count, fouls consecutive pitches off leg, then hits moon shot to straight away center in New York off of the greatest closer of all time Mariano Rivera. Absolute Legend. First ballot HOFer no question. 🐐
i think he could go in unanimous. I think the TK and 500 HR seals the deal 3000 will be a cherry on top. He is just such a good player.
100% right.
On the 16th pitch, no less.
Growing up in Michigan this dude was a superhero to me as a kid. It’s sad to see his career coming to an end but man the memories will last a lifetime 💯
Miggy is easily my favorite player as a tigers fan. Sure he's not the same as early 2000s to mid 2010s miggy but his personality and his love of the game remains. So awesome to have such a legendary player play for my team.
Agreed
What a career. The fact that he's been playing on a high level since his first MLB game speaks volumes.
He's hasn't been playing at a high level for a few years
@@shakejaffer1881 I second that.
@@shakejaffer1881 maybe just maybe because he’s been hurt
@@shakejaffer1881 he's still good
@@bjr0467 Are You Ready For Miguel Cabrera To Get His 3000 Career Hits?
I'm glad I "invested" in a few Miguel Cabrera rookie cards. Only 45 more hits to reach 3000.
@E Ardlow People aren't allowed to enjoy themselves just because climate change is a thing?
@E Ardlow Those are important issues but sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses, too.
@E Ardlow massive beta energy. thanks for the laugh
@E Ardlow what are you on about dude? You go onto a baseball video judging people for liking baseball.
@E Ardlow You apparently like baseball, yourself, if you come on a video picking fights about politics (and yes, climate change might as well be lumped into politics).
Super classy show of respect by the Blue Jays fans. Hats off! 🥃
The Lord Jesus Christ loves you so much, God✝️ bless
Jays fan here, and nothing but respect for Miggy. One of the best to do it.
@@triplea7209 Thank You for Speaking of The Lord. God Blesses Us🙏🏻
Gotta respect the jays fans for the respect they showed for such a class act. Great for you miggy.
First ballot Hall of Famer no questions asked. I hope everyone remembers his Triple Crown season
Not going to lie I teared up a bit when he hit that. Having gone to a game hoping to see it live this was still a special thing to witness even on TV. Blue Jay's fans are top-notch to show the love they did for this milestone.
As a Canadian myself, I'm so glad that the Jays crowd showed love & respect for Miggy's # 500. A couple of years ago Canadian James Paxton was throwing a no-hitter for the Mariners vs The Jays in Toronto. He said the fans were razzing him early, but as the game wore on, the Jays fans were showing him alot of love..⚾️🇨🇦🇨🇦🏒😎⚾️
The GOAT! Miggy is a once in a generation type of player.
The best of all homers was the one against Clemens in the 2003 WS. Clemens had come off close with a high fast ball to the face prior. He held his own and blasted an opposite field homer, signature Cabrera homerun hit.
Any dislikes is every pitcher he has went deep against in his career
It’s just Corey kluber and all his burners
Love how he slides into second on the homer. What a player
Hits 'em in the sun, rain *and the snow*. Impressive!
I'd forgotten he was on the 2003 WS winning Marlins but as a Cubs fan I try to forget everything about that year. Glad he at least has a ring to show for his efforts.
Man, that snow homerun was genuinely artistic.
My favorite baseball player of all time. One of the greatest hitters yet so humble
Walk off homerun on his his mlb debut! Hats off!
As a Jays fan I was always worried when Miggy stepped to the plate. Usually for good reason. What a career
How many players hit a walk off HR in their first game? Made me think of the guy who threw a no hitter in his first game.
hats off to Miggy -much love from a Giants fan across the country lol
just think... 3000 hits is just around the corner too... what a year for him. he went from little Miguel to big miggy pretty quick 😂
Here is the list of hitters with at least 500 HR, 2,955 hits and a .300 lifetime average in Major League Baseball HISTORY:
1. Hank Aaron
2. Willie Mays
3. Miguel Cabrera
END OF LISTING
Damn
baseball without Miguel Cabrera is counterfeit to me
wheres eddie murray? albert pujols *steroids*? alex rodriguez *steroids*? Rafael Palmeiro *steroids*?
@@golfmaniac007 Albert Pujols never took steroids
@@golfmaniac007 None of them hit .300 for their career. Pujols is currently at .297, Rodriguez finished at .295, Palmeiro at .288, and Murray at .287.
What an amazing career. Great guy and a great career. Love miggy
Grande Miguel orgullo venezolano 🇻🇪
Un digno representante del Pabellón Nacional, Miguel Cabrera y los medallistas olímpicos en especial Yulimar Rojas, hasta el presente han sido un bálsamo de alegría para los Venezolanos. Viva 🇻🇪,
For reasons like these, I love this passionate sport more and more every day, seeing that such humble players achieve with a lot of dedication, effort and perseverance, having the opportunity to reach records! That make them belong to a select group of professionals who already contemplate a wonderful career in the history of Major League Baseball! Congratulation Miggy, how proud you are Venezuelan ... 🇻🇪
That 03 marlins team was fun to watch. You could always get a good seat at pro player stadium too.
Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols best baseball hitters of their generation, they all have a world series ring, hope Mike Trout and Shohei gets one.
I started watching baseball on youtube because of shohei! Knew nothing about baseball before that...literally dont know how baseball was scored.
Respect for Miggy.
Opposing venue or not, man, hats off to these Jays fans for showing some love! I'm a Rays fan, but if I see a player nab a huge achievement like that at the Trop (even if it was from the Yankees, Sox, or Phillies), I would be disrespecting the sport of baseball if I didn't show some love for something like this! Congratulations to Miggy!
Awesome, Lucky to have gotten to watch Miggy in Detroit for so long now!!
Congrats on 500 Miggy you for sure earned it & no doubt a legend cuz you've played for the love of the game not the money & ur truely a humble guy i've had the honor of meeting & ur always gonna be respected by myself & every other Royals fan #MiggyIsHallOfFameBound #500 #Legend #LegendaryCareer
He is so good
Our great venezuelan slugger! 500th homer... and chasing 3000th hits. A future hall of famer.
I’m a Yankee fan and man, I remember that homer off Rivera well. One of the great regular season matchups I’ve ever seen.
The upper tank blast in Florida was extremely impressive to see!!!!
What a career and what a man. This video showed when we were so good and gave me goosebumps. Top 10 hitter ever
All-time great hitter 💯.
I love Miguel Cabrera- Rays fan
I enjoyed this video. Thank you mlb and the legend.
Love miggy he's my favorite player of all time
Miggy is in a class of athletes that are hated by virtually nobody. Love you miggy and enjoy retirement after the season
What an emotional video! Truly one of a kind. ¡Se amo para siempre Miguel! ❤🐯🇻🇪⚾️💣💯💯💯💯💯
Miggy u rock dude... Keep them coming bud
I’ve been so blessed and happy to be able to watch this dude from when he arrived to the tigers all the way to the end of his career. Another guy I really enjoyed watching that I wish could’ve played along side miggy a little longer is him… Magglio Ordonez. If only magglio was a little younger and if miggy joined the tigers sooner
Congratz to Miggy, one of the best pure hitter ever in the game.
This dude was on pace at one time to destroy the Home Run record but injuries got in the way. Still a storied career!
If it wasn’t for injures that homer would have been the one to break the all time mark
My favorite memory of Miggy was going to a game against Boston at home. 7 rows in behind the Tigers dugout. Thy day Miggy and Prince each hit two home runs and they beat Josh Beckett 10-0!
Tremendo lo de Cabrera y afortunados en Toronto que lo vieron en el estadio. Esto no es algo que se ve todos los dias y eso que falta si puede llegar a los 3000 hits.
El es y sera siempre el samourai de maracay!!! An amazing talent!!!
The most feared right-handed hitter of his era. Frank Thomas, Albert Belle, Miguel Cabrera. Those guys don't F around.
From a Astros fan I love this guy!
Everyone Loves Miguel Cabrera As The Legend
Bro miggy then prince fielder back to back was lethal back then
MIGGGGYYYYY
Congrats 🎉 Miggy
Congrats on 500 bombs 💣
Miggy is amazing!
4:13 Just Miggy hitting himself twice and still gets a 2run homer and I love this reporter
The most fun,he made Detroit baseball watchable again!
One of the best hitters I’ve seen in my life time besides Albert
🎉🎉 That's the man
He was very very very underrated when he was in the miami marlins. As a venezuelan, I always been his fan I saw the league wasnt talking about him in anything, and he batting like .300 avg/ 30 homers and 100 rbi per season.
Beast
Roger Clemens face after Miggy Hr is priceless
Dios te bendiga mi hermano Cabrera.
What a legend in MLB history
You kinda forget he won a World Series as a Rookie. He was the one that hit the ball that Alex Gonzalez muffed after the Bartman play. In other words a sure fire HOF career.
Thanks Miggy
One of the greatest right handed hitters in our era.
Beautiful.🥃 Salud, hermano.
my all time favorite🏪
Big diffrence between the fans than and now
1ST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER MIGUEL CABRERA#24 ..
Venezuela para el mundo!!!
28th player to hit a remarkable number, talk about consistency - out of more than 20k players!
Freakin' Legend!
Greatest Hitter I've ever seen
5:00 contra marino rivera en la 9na para empatar es que es de otro mundo este muchacho
6:26 Just him thinking it was a double🤣🤣
おめでとうございます🎉
The baseball fraternity welcomes it's newest member to the 500 home run club: Miguel Cabrera. Cabrera's next club membership: 3,000 hits(he needs 44, I think)
One in 5.9995 hits is a home run.
He got it
Congrats Miggy! just wish he could have done it in detroit
I love in baseball when a home run lands in the stands and all the people near the ball just start high fiving like “dude that was so close to us!”
Super!
And he did it without the 'juice'. A great hitter and a legend.
The home run in the snow was pretty special.
Hall of Famer! End of Story!
All I gotta say is thank you Miami for making one of the worst trades in mlb history. Gonna miss watching you miggy. Go tigers
Toronto...ur all classy...nice nice nice
Blue jays fans showed great class👏
Best hitter in the game....
7:12 Congrats Miggy!!
He’s great with the fans too!
Remember the kid in Cleveland who loved him?
@@williamsnyder5616 he gave him his bat and shoes or something.
As I watch the highlights of his milestone Homer's. I notice he wore number 20 and change to number 24.
💙👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👑
500 home runs what a feat, especially when he was in the steroid era and didn’t give in to pressure to do what a lot of players done. Hall of Fame bound. One of the good ones in baseball. And I nice guy on top of that he signed a baseball for me in Atlanta in 2005.
Miggy can beat you in so many ways. The long ball, the base hit, patient enough to draw a walk, or can bring the runner home from 3rd on a sacrifice.
