When you first started the garden beds, I remember thinking…..Lydia, the garden is so much like life. It’s never done, it’s never perfect, you learn as you go. Years and seasons are different and the garden evolves just like we do. Love love love what you are creating.

There is a house in my neighborhood that has always, for decades, had a “messy, run down” front garden. It isn’t until these past couple months that I realized, via you and Ali, that it is not as it appears. It is wild and wonderful, and those are wild flowers meant for bees! I can’t thank you enough for helping change my mindset on a day to day basis. ❤

Lydia, this was probably my most favorite videos of yours. I have been watching you for years, and you are becoming such a lovely and grown up woman right before my eyes. Life is a journey, and each of us have our own soul paths that have been perfectly laid just for us.... but watching someone share each step in their own personal story in weekly videos is quite special. When you started to read the passage from your journal about buying a bag (but it didn't make you happy) it really resonated with me. I have a closet full of designer bags that are now 10+ years old and collecting dust. It is a museum of my professional "success" if you will .... but it also never brought me more than a day or two of momentary happiness. I use the same one or two bags over and over now and it is just fine. I don't actually CARE anymore about what bag I have on my arm....and it is just a great stage of life to be in. Too bad I had to spend thousands to get here. :-) I love the direction you are taking your channel, and I can't wait to see more.

On Amazon if you click Book Description it tells you all about the book. I have a fair few months ahead of me until the book is released so I decided to talk about the journey to the book for the announcement but I have copied the book description below if you can’t wait until we get into that as I wanted to talk through that when I had the physical book to do so
Inspired by the wisdom of the natural world, Evergreen is the essential guide for anyone who is looking to unearth their inner strength and bring more joy and contentment into their everyday.

You reflecting on your journals has reminded me of my own journey. Im finally in a decent place mentally. I lost my heart horse of 14 years last April to Congestive heart failure. That loss put me in a very dark place in life. He helped me through my childhood trama and abuse. To lose him was devastating! But I have a baby horse that im starting under saddle. I havnt beem this joyful in years. Dont get me wrong i have some big stressors in life but the experience of getting my baby horse under saddle has brought so much pure joy and has given me the confidence boost i desparately needed for at least the past 5 years.
P.S. i would put a wire mesh topper on the chicken run to protect them from falcons and hawks.

Lydia - as 54 year old who is a bit ahead on her journey when it comes to personality development - I must compliment you: it strikes me how your inner growth and development show now on the outside. You look like an accomplished Lady in your Oscar de la Renta gown and especially with your new hairstyle that keeps you from fluffing around with your hair all the time as you did before. So your satisfaction and calmness on the inside manifests itself now on the outside. You are truely beautiful. I take a great pleasure in watching you!

How magical were that performance and setting! Beautiful! I always cry when I see art like that. I cry in book shops, just from the emotion of the space, and when I look at art. It's so funny because I am not one to cry when someone tells me a sad story. But in any sort of art performance or space, I find it really hard to control the tears.

You mention America's holidays...I watch you, to learn more about England, as I find other countries so interesting. You never boast, and are always grateful. You were as excited about your eggs as you were the launch of your book. You include your team, by doing special things with them. I appreciate the type of channel that you have. My mornings are similar to yours Lydia! I rise at 8:00 and go to the stables to feed the horses, let them out into the pastures, groom them sand then do the stalls. The stalls are the least bucolic but I enjoy because this is my ‘thinking’ time. Then I feed the chickens, my 2 Yorkies and care for my gardens which have been quite prolific this year. Then I have my breakfast outside on the patio, weather permitting, and watch you. The perfect good morning! I usually go hiking in the afternoon with the dogs!

Hi Lydia! I just wanted to thank you for this lovely video! I have been a long time viewer and today’s video really helped me. I unfortunately lost my cat Denver very unexpectedly 2 days ago on my birthday to a heart condition. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss, Pet loss is something very difficult to navigate. The feelings we have for our animals are so intense and very unexpected. You almost feel guilty for your grief because others experience the loss of people so close to them but I think I realised that my animals are my family when we lost lynx and so now I’m not so hard on myself. I hope you aren’t either, because you need to feel these emotions. x

I have to be completely raw and honest with you. I was a long time subscriber way back before you even moved into this house. A few years ago I had to sadly unsubscribe. Your channel had drastically changed and I couldn’t relate to you anymore. It just wasn’t a good place for me to watch. I have watched a few vlogs here and there and have seen a few of your emotional vlogs talking about how you were struggling and not yourself. I don’t know why… but today when I was on RUclips and saw you had uploaded a vlog something just drew me in….Something just came over me and made me click on it. From the very beginning of the vlog I was captivated. I watch the whole thing and it just really touched me. I couldn’t not just watch and not comment. It just left me feeling so good and inspired. I sat here thinking for a long time. If this is the new Lydia I will definitely be back. Just absolutely beautiful, so relatable, so raw, homey, just lovely. So proud of you ❤ Also so surprised by the announcement of the 2 new doggies. How exciting.

I feel so privileged to be a part of your community. I started following you right as you moved to your beautiful home. You felt like family, another sensitive soul that felt life very deeply. I have been on the same journey my whole entire 59 years. I cry when you cry just as if you were my daughter. My lovely daughter and I decided together back in 2019 that we would give each other space but still work on our relationship. We were and are so connected so much so that we were both internally hurting for each other. So needless to say I watched and learned with you and it made me feel less alone, my daughter feels the same by the way. We found our way in this world by creating as much daily happiness as we could. We had to learn balance and not over- do it, even if we had the juice. Cognitive behavior therapy was my lifeline as I struggled with Fibromyalgia symptoms. Some days I just wouldn't get out of bed and instead power watched sad shows like Nurse Jackie. I was my own worst friend until I made the effort to get help and then actually do the things to make myself happy consistently. You felt like a friend and you were going through it with online hate and I cried with you. However now you know what works, what doesn't and who to keep in your circle. I can't wait to hear you read your book and yes will be doing the pre-order this week. You are the "it" gal we all want to walk n talk with; laugh, cry and just be silly with. Honestly Estee Lauder needs to make you their face for the next 40 years!!! ❤🥰 Auntie Deb from Florida couldn't be happier for you and your loves.💪🤗

Lydia, there is nothing like growing your own food. I started a Balcony garden after a trip outside London. My friend's brother bought me a tomatoes plant from a trust shop. Sadly that tomatoes plant died along with a few more. But once I realised what I was doing wrong, my tomatoes, green, red, and yellow bell peppers, scotch bonnet, chilli pepper, thyme, parsley, rosemary, sweet basil, leeks, red onions are thriving. I started in May and I cannot believe how far I have come and I hope by September I will be able to harvest a lot of what I planted. Lydia are you going to show us those chickens?

One suggestion: look up recipes for filled courgette flowers, do not throw them away. They are delicious. I ate them at the Cóte d‘Azur for the first time years ago and had Champagne with them. Really easy to make. I‘m sure you will love them!

Just a hint but bees are attracted to any scent you may be wearing. So if you have scented lotion or perfume or even shampoo with a scent they will be more apt to bother you. My father is a beekeeper and I make sure not to wear any fragrance when I'm there. 💙

Careful with the pet food in open vases! You could probably find something to seal the top to keep them fresh. I found interesting stretch lids at IKEA.

Hi Lydia, I think I have been following you for over a year. You are a great inspiration to me. Your current vlog has convinced me even more of how authentic you are. I learn so much from you and you are so far ahead of so many people. Will your book be available in other languages? For example in German. That would be wonderful. 😊

I tried to order your signed book, but I couldn't get it to go thru. Maybe this is because I live in the US? Amazon is showing here that the book will not be available until March 2024? And I don't see anything about a video......😮‍💨

So excited for your book. It doesn’t come out in the USA until March 2024 though. 😢 Also, it looks like you don’t have a covering over your chicken enclosure. We had chickens growing up and had problems with hawks getting our chickens. We had to continue the outside fence around their coop over the top as well. I’d hate for something to happen to your little ladies.
