- Vlog 016: (subtitles included) A couple of weeks ago I visited Kopan, a Buddhist monastery in Kathmandu. I was there only to shoot some videos for my previous vlog, but without planning it that visit became a meditation retreat. I was really not expecting that.
In the cinematic intro of the video (shot with my iPhone), I first show you the beautiful stupa of Boudhanath, which is not far from Kopan. I just want to share with you the spirituality of this wonderful Tibetan Buddhist pilgrimage site.

Great to see this video. Kopan Monastery changed my life. I saw a picture of Kopan in Italy. Somehow i ended up there, some time later, not planned. Have been going back ever since...True, things happen by going there. A very special place. Also there is a very special child there, a living Buddha, called Thubten Rigsel Rinpoche. One can meet him after making an appointment at the reception. Life hasn't been the same since going there.

For a first time visitor, is 10 days sufficient or 1 month? Is 1 month too long for a first time?
It’s completely up to you. I went straight for the one month course in my first visit. You could also go for a 10 days course and decide later if you want to stay longer. But you need to check their courses calendar

It’s super easy. It’s in Kathmandu, near Boudhanath. You can ask any taxi driver. Check the description of the video. There is a lot of information there.

Thanks dude. You can find all details in the description. This one was shot with an iPhone 7 and edited on LumaFusion. Excellent camera! The only reason I upgraded was because of an issue with the microphone. The latest videos are with an iPhone 11.
