From Ayahuasca in the jungle to a Buddhist Monastery on a hilltop in Nepal... here's the updates and some beautiful scenes from Kopan Monastery, where I spent the month of November 2016.
This is the next step in my journey to move beyond depression and suicide attempts to a place of greater self-acceptance, love and peace.
Thanks for coming on this journey with me - this is the belated update, with much more to come as I head back to the jungle.
I was invited to write about the experience at the monastery, which you can read here: www.misfitpress...
So now I have a podcast! It's called Voices in the Dark and the tag-line runs: Learning How To Human. Check us out here: bit.ly/1rkedcv
Please subscribe and sign up to the mailing list - that's where I'm making the majority of my stuff these days :)
You can find us on Facebook and Twitter, too @VintheD

Check out the piece I wrote on Ayahuasca and how to prepare for it, here: highexistence.c...
    ---
Send me your questions - about the trip, me, Ayahuasca itself, etc. - and I'll do my best to answer as many as possible.
This is an intensely personal journey, and I'm going to lay it all out in the open here. I want to share this journey with other people, whether they're considering drinking Ayahuasca, have done so already, who feel the same kinds of emptiness and negativity that I do, or who just want to see the journey of someone before and after this intense experience.

Nice to see you! And that was funny about the coffee or death. Really funny.
Really want you to find your answers and rely on that inner essence of yours.
Yes, in casual life it's a way more difficult to stay conscious. But we can use everyday "little things" like going to the market etc. etc. etc to practice being centered. When we are ready, everything is a teacher to us and we are teacher to everything.
And the more you can understand, accept and integrate your lows, the closer to your natural highs you will become.
Wish you a lot of gifts and insights on your journey of self-discovery!

I didn't drink Ayahuasca in Nepal :) This vlog is just a continuation of a personal journey which in many ways began with drinking Ayahuasca in Peru a couple of years ago. The time I spend at Kopan Monastery in Nepal was the next chapter.
