    • @KpxRagDoll
      @KpxRagDoll Год назад +106

      I thought Ymir wanted to know how it felt to be loved through Eren, by Mikasa, no matter what they do. Eren and Mikasa lived countless timelines together in hopes to find a solution. In every timeline when Eren dies from his 'natural' lifespan Mikasa gives him a kiss(Eren never knew because hes dead and his loop starts over). 'Only Ymir knows' as she peers into Mikasas mind causing her headaches. And in the end she kills the one she loves and no matter what he did she still loves him. Because she was able to remember all the timelines she spent with Eren she was able to kill him without hesitation and with a smile. Just my thought.

    • @Doomfoolable
      @Doomfoolable Год назад +66

      my main issue with that part is that not only has Ymir ALREADY gone through that by choosing to partner with Eren rather than obey Zeke, but its extremely unlikely that Mikasa was the first person in 2000 years to choose to do the right thing and put aside their feelings lmao.

    • @KpxRagDoll
      @KpxRagDoll Год назад +20

      @@prodigyy505 honestly it's just my interpretations from the memories that Mikasa and Armin had. Before killing Eren Mikasa was able to break through the memory block being able to see(im guessing) the last timeline they were together. Remember how Eren has only 13 years to make all this change, he cant get old, so in all his timelines he cant live or see past that point, he just dies 'naturally'. So my thought was what can he/you do to have her let go? Spend all he and she possibly can with together. They both know they can never grow old together so why not spend countless, idk 4 years, together. Even in Erens eyes, in the final memory, he looks sad and 'burnt out'(hes had countless memories with her, none which they grow old together). And with Armin's memory, he asks about Mikasa and if she'll forget and when Eren mentions how he tried over and over to no avail, that implies Eren and Armin have always tried to find a solution. Reminds me of edge of tomorrow theme. But yea

    • @blizarddriz2
      @blizarddriz2 Год назад +4

      For the people who didn't understand why people hated the ending including me, there are a lot of ways to fix things for Eren's friends to survive without further enraging the world. What Eren did is instead of erasing the hatred to Eldians, he just amplified it even more and expect the living survivors to forgive what he has done.
      And for those morrrrons who think 20% of the world and population of paradis is "BALANCED" use your head and calculate that 20% of the world is still 100 times more than the population of Paradis.
      Eren could have just eliminated titan powers and announce it to the world instead of Rumbling. WIthout the Titan powers existence, the world will no longer have any reason to attack Paradis. Marley might not forget and forgive the people of Eldia but the rest of the world will no longer have any reason to attack thus making Paradis have allies somewhere.
      There's so plenty of ways. Another reason is that Eren suddenly has feelings for Mikasa when he just kept pushing her away since childhood, MULTIPLE TIMES. This was just a fanservice treat from Isayama and preasure for his rushed work. Lots of abandoned plot points.

    • @Shuyin128MK4
      @Shuyin128MK4 Год назад +52

      @@blizarddriz2 He wasn't trying to erase people's hate of Eldians, he was just protecting his friends so they can have a decent rest of their lives.
      Also your math is wrong. 20% of the world's population brought the total number of people alive across the planet to a near even number to Paradis' population. Eren knew that it would take centuries before the rest of the world would be able to recover enough to attack Paradis in the future, giving a time of peace for the island.
      Just erasing Titans by itself solves nothing because they'll still be looked at as monsters and segregated. Their quality of life will not improve at all, if anything it would get worse because they'd no longer have any power at all. The Rumbling was a deterrent against Marley invading their island, without it Marley could attack Pardis in full force and win with minimal effort.
      Also, you can't have allies if you don't have relations with other countries. Paradis is a lone wolf with next to nobody caring about it. At most they'd have the Asians, but even then that wouldn't be enough to protect them from anything.
      Lastly, what in tf does my post have to do with your rant? I was talking about a tree and you're talking about a war.

    • @blizarddriz2
      @blizarddriz2 Год назад +2

      @@Shuyin128MK4 It solves nothing but its a good start to show people they don't have the means to eliminate and rule everyone in the world. That means they are just normal humans like the rest and the world is not Marley. There are other countries who sympathizes with Paradis and they can make use of that.
      Eren solved nothing with this ending and so do the fans who think this ending was logical.
      There is another issue with the founding titan powers too. Plus Eren's feelings suddenly changed.

    • @Shuyin128MK4
      @Shuyin128MK4 Год назад +29

      @@blizarddriz2 What Eren solved was protecting his friends for the rest of their lives, which was his main objective from the beginning, and that by the end his original self goal of eliminating every titan would happen by all titan powers being removed from the world.
      You mentioned that there is another issue with the Founding Titan but did not follow up on that.
      And Eren's feelings did not change at all in the end. People forgot that "Alpha Male Eren" is not the real Eren. The crybaby we seen throughout the first 2 seasons is the real Eren, to which we even seen a glimpse of that Eren in the previous part when the kid was being beat in the alleyway. How he was apologizing with tears in his eyes for what he was about to do to him and the rest of the world. He loved his friends, he loved Mikasa, and he didn't want to kill 80% of the population. But, one of his future memories when experimenting likely showed him what would happen if he did not follow through.

    • @blizarddriz2
      @blizarddriz2 Год назад +2

      @@Shuyin128MK4 so you're saying, he used his father, he killed his mother, he forced his father to kill the royal family, he even used Eren Kruger and sacrificed a lot of people only for 2.
      Tell me that's logical? I sided with Eren at first because I thought he was really doing it for the sake of Eldia, but in the end he was an idiot with so muchh power. He didn't know what to do with it. He himself admitted it.
      Whatever Eren feared still did happen. Look how all Eldians wiped out from existence and not a single one left. Know why? Because Eren made their fears a reality.
      How to fix it? Either not start the Rumbling or start and finish off everyone, but he stopped in the middle.
      Don't get me started on founding titan powers logic because killing Zeke shouldn't and would not stop Rumbling based on all the details presented previously by Isayama.
      that's why a lot of us hates the ending. It was too based on emotion rather than logic which was the rest of the story besides the ending...

    The scene where the Eldians are transformed into giants and we see Gabi, Jean, Connie and Reiner's mother transformed, when I saw it in the manga destroyed me emotionally. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And seeing Reiner shocked when he sees them transformed is something shocking. Not to mention Pieck and Annie's expressions of pure anger, desperation, and sadness as they attacked the Founder with all their might. The anime amplified all this by 100 times and I have no problem admitting that for me that is the most heartbreaking scene ever and I felt exactly like them and in fact I too was wondering: "when will this torment end?!"😭

    Just because history repeats itself, does not mean what they achieve was for nothing. Time is relative. Eren got his wish, his friends got to live long and happy lives in peace. See how they showed us how far this future was from Mikasa's death. What happens in the future has nothing to do with them anymore. Much like in the real world, if war broke out again, does that make the peace we got after WW2 for nothing? Does it make the century of peace not significant? The ending is as realistic as it can be imo.

There is no meaning in life, and if everything is meaningless then I will give it the meaning I want. “In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you". That's the same thought as in Attack on Titan, as in Everything Everywhere All at once, as in Soul movie from Pixar. The point of life is not waiting for its ending, but to live every second of it

    Mikasa’s ending is full of interpretations/vagueness. As we see her visiting with a guy that has a blurred face and a kid, which many assumed it’s Jean. But here are the reasons why she didn’t marry him:
    1. Scarf - she kept it until death meaning she couldn’t let go and would love him till the end. This is her engagement ring as the voice actor of Armin said.
    2. Azumabito mark - though not shown in the anime, she died with the mark. Her mom told her to pass it down to her kids. Why did Mikasa keep it?
    3. Orphanage - in the short stories by Isayama, there’s a conversation of Historia&Mikasa which gave us a clue that Mikasa might work in the orphanage.
    4. Shawl - only Historia wears a shawl. We see Mikasa wearing a shawl which meant she might be working there and adopted a kid eventually.
    5. EMA - THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT it’s always been Eren, Mikasa, Armin from the start to finish. We started with Eren, Mikasa, Armin running to the tree and to end it with Jean & Mikasa scenes/panels DON’T make sense at all. It’s not Isayama-like, the god of parallels.
    6. Hairstyle - armin had the same hairstyle as Jean in isayama’s sketches
    7. When Eren told her to forget him and throw away the scarf when he dies, she said “she can’t.” And she stayed true to this until her death.
    8. Eren’s grave- the translation of the words in his grave is “here forever, resting peacefully, my most beloved.” At the end of her life, she was buried next to him. If that’s not love, what is?
    9. The child - back to the orphanage talk, mikasa is an orphan herself, it would make sense that she helps Historia and eventually adopts a kid. She knows what it’s like to be an orphan. For her to become a family to an orphan connects back to what Eren did for her.
    10. Flowers - notice how she’s surrounded by different colors of flowers - each color means something for each flower. Some people say there’s white lilies which symbolize purity. Some say it’s a bunch of different colors of roses like for example white roses. White roses means a “new beginning” (in Japanese culture) but in other cultures it means “purity” “mourning” etc. There are other flowers which I’m not sure what they are.
    11. The Ring - (THIS IS ANIME ONLY SINCE THERE’S NOTHING LIKE THAT IN THE MANGA) wedding rings are worn on the left hand, and so are Chastity rings. I feel like I don’t need to explain what chastity rings are. The wedding ring she wore doesn’t actually tell us she married Jean as this might’ve symbolize her love and commitment for Eren forever. “Till death to us part” as they say, and she did love him till her last breathe.
    12. The ending song “Itterashai by Ai Higuchi”- The lyrics is literally a love letter for Eren. It sings about her longing and desire to see and be with him again. Also, the visuals showed us their reunification in the afterlife. How so? The music video starts with Mikasa alone and jumps in the water to show that she’s six feet under. Next we see her floating above the water with her eyes close, SURROUNDED BY FLOWERS. In her burial, she is surrounded by flowers. And then, we see her spending time with Eren, implying that she’s dreaming. At the end of the video, we see her open her eyes, and voila! Eren is holding her hands and there’s a butterfly. In Japanese culture, butterflies are a symbol of “resurrection, rebirth, and the triumph of spirit and soul over a physical prison.” The ending song literally showed us that Mikasa only loved Eren until the end of her life. This makes me believe that she didn’t marry anyone.
    Whether she got married or not, it’s a fact that Mikasa stayed in love with Eren until the end. I feel like many people see her love as a chain binding her down after her death. She’s a slave to her love for Eren as they say. But I feel differently, loving Eren is her way of expressing freedom. When Eren told her to forget him and be free and said that she can’t. She chose that decision herself. It is her own free-will to remember and continue to long for him. Because she knew they would meet again someday hence “See You Later.”
    As I said, it’s full of interpretations. Therefore my interpretation of Mikasa being with Jean (which I think is Armin) is “What if Jean is only looking out for her?” A lot of people overlook this question.

    • @mxowixes
      @mxowixes 7 месяцев назад

      the most me thing i want to point out that i definitely know it’s not armin at the grave with mikasa is that mikasa is taller than armin. even as adults she is taller than him, the person at the end with mikasa had to have been AT LEAST 6inches+ taller than her.
      that’s the only flaw in that logic. other than that i love listening to different theories about the ending.

      There's so plenty of ways. Another reason is that Eren suddenly has feelings for Mikasa when he just kept pushing her away since childhood, MULTIPLE TIMES. This was just a fanservice treat from Isayama and preasure for his rushed work. Lots of abandoned plot points.

      @@blizarddriz2 Marley people saw paradise soldiers fighting to stop the rumbling, thats the only reason they understanded and made peace with eldians at the end of the series.
      Just announcing about the titan power is wiped out won't make any change about the hatred of marleans . Just think about it grisha's little sister been feeded to a dog for violating a rule, the amount of hatred marley have is clearly depicted in that part .
      And you think just announcing something like that will change their mind 🤡
      And also eren have the memories of grisha, and the founder have no future or past imagine how much pressure can a human manage.
      He is not a hero he don't wanna save the whole world 🤡 he just wanna save the ones he cares thats it .

      @@normalguy5236 Yah, he wants to save 2 people by sacrificing millions. Did you really think we hate it for that reason? You're just finding an excuse to ramp up your argument.
      Announcing it won't make the Eldians free of conflict but it will make them have allies in the world. That means they won't be alone. Your ur brain, not ur ego.
      Eren said it himself, you cannot expect a happy ending in a horror story. What morron like you think we wanted a happy ending lol? Even if Mikasa didn't kill him, Ymir's curse will get to him.
      We hated the ending because it didn't make sense and goes against all the previous details Isayama provided. Look at you being a clown unable to think, but use sentimental more.

    This episode is hands down my favorite piece of fictional content. Everything in it is so so beautifully told and even though the ending is the restart of the cycle of hatred, there is also hope. I love this show. I will always love this show, the characters, the sequences, and what it represents. This show has changed my life and I will never be able to repay Hajime Iseyama enough. Thank you so so much Attack on Titan, Wit, Mappa, Hajime, and every single other person who had any contribution to this whatsoever. This means so much to me and this will forever and ever exist in my memories until it’s my time to go. Just like the titans and everything surrounding our characters, this will probably be forgotten to time but it will always live on in memory. I’m so glad to have been alive to see this from start to finish. Thank you

      Eren died for nothing, he failed to protect Paradis from getting genocided by the outside world, he killed his own mom, turned into a stupid bird so that Jean can plow Mikasa, whucu mind you they show off their kid in front of Eren's grave! Literally SNL comedy skit right there! Lmfao

    I know some people doesn't like the ending or more like doesn't like “realistic ending”. Given the situation of our world, Isayama made the right decision to give us realistic ending.
    Eren always knew that the conflict and violence won't stop, that's how human life is. He just needs to do what he needs to do. He has no choice. At least he managed to give his friends long lives like he wanted, and remove the curse of ymir. So his sacrifice didn't go for nothing.
