Probably the coolest thing to happen to Sacramento since the state fair
I haven’t been to every arena in the NBA but I’ve been to San Antonio, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Portland, Chicago and New York MSG (prior to the last renovation) and Sacramento’s G1C sets a new bar for state of the art arenas.
Well, at least the fans in Sacramento will have something to distract them from watching that horrible team

Holy shit I live here and now I see my hometown's on a youtube channel that I subscribed to that's crazy. I even see where I work on the timelapse.
But imo the heart of the city was one of the worst places for this stadium. The traffic and parking was already terrible to begin with, just wait until this shit is completed. Glad that it's 100% solar powered, though, because that's a shit ton of energy they'll be using.

I remember when they played in Rochester.
They could've used that stadium on Charlotte, New york, Portland, or Houston. But no, they had to use it on Sacramento.
Sleep Train Arena was incredibly outdated, and Golden 1 Center was a Sacramento Dream for years and years. This arena was definitely well deserved for Sacramento

Will anyone be actually watching the game? So you pay one ticket close to $100, and then instead of watching the game you can order hot dogs with the phone, surf the net, take selfies, everything but watch the actual game you paid to see? Very weird to me

Probably not from the rooftop solar panels but something remote. Not too unreasonable. Still this all stadium seems like such a waste of money, if you like the sport then most of the things are totally unnecessary.
The solar panels are placed on the roof. Pretty sure they'l be getting power from some powerplant just like the city does, but the panels will give back the same amount (if not even more). So that the stadium still functions on a cloudy day.
