Dam#, this practice from 1:28 shows how good you need to be to play this game on high level. Automatism plus all around reactions, wow. I belive it's also just a small piece of these tough trains. I like hockey but never been so deep in technical aspects etc around the game. Big respect for these guys.
Chicago is so lucky to get this guy , I hope he does well and Chicago gives him players to play with. Ducks should have got hi. They would have been incredibly fun to watch
He is going to look like a bust initially because of the incredibly high, unrealistic expectations and ultimately follow development curve of Jack Hughes. That said I think Fantilli, Benson and Michkov are going to be more valuable players.
@@ismayil9047 I think the thing that is different is that he seems more physically ready for the NHL compared to Hughes. I think Hughes having a bigger frame, had a harder time translating his skill since he was technically lankier and less elusive, compared to Patrick Kane. Bedard reminds me of a not so battle tested Crosby. Physically sturdy for his age but I don't think he's been as tested as Crosby so I assume there will still be some adjustment. If he gets a high level of offensive opportunities based on the team he plays on, I think he gets 30+ goals, 70 points minimum.
Of course you’re comparing McDavid who has many more years of growth and training than Bedard. Let the kid grow and come back to this conversation 3 years down the road.
he doesn't look at the puck much though? You're just saying shit to say it, kid is always keeping track of defenders and goalies, you don't set scoring records by keeping your head down
it all comes from hockey IQ, Awareness, and processing speed. Mcdavid probably took longer as a kid to read situations meaning he needed his head up more to make plays. Bedard may not need to scan the ice as often to get the same information Mcdavid gets. Regardless, they have their own styles but are gross in their own way
@@ywwb I’m sorry but your incorrect. From last year til 2 years from now- so 4 drafts the Blackhawks have him, 8* other first round picks (3 last year) and 10 2nd round picks. Canucks is run by Swedes unfortunately. They just want to drat those Swedish players with no grit. I don’t watch them anymore even though I live in BC. It’s sad to see that there are hardly any tough Canadian players on the team now. This is the reason why Canucks will not win a Stanley Cup anytime soon as they have no Canadian grit on the team.

Both are like gretzky. All 3 are NOT 200 foot players. Just offensive. I'd take nate over both all day everyday. Lil fella took a shoulder check (initial contact) and left with his jaw in his hand... SOFT!!!

They have some exciting prospects to play with him. Reichel, Nazar, Ludwinski, Korchinski to start. With Toews and Kane gone, new leaders can step up

Generational.
Kid is insane. To be running around with the big dogs of the NHL and being one of the best on the ice at his size is just crazy.
