    Very pretty pyramid ❤Love it. So I have ruined quite a few molds with my heat gun. I found that a tiny spritz of alcohol makes the bubbles go away. Trying not to ruin too many more molds😊 How do you make a folded/creased mold go back into shape in base?

    I have those molds from Amazon and I have never had to use powder between the mold and casing. It comes out very easy, you just tip it upside down. Just a tip so you dont have to use needless powder that just makes a mess.

    It’s beautiful
    Iam doing resin art as well and I got experience with the mould sticking to resin, the mould is now ready for bin and alcohol will not help, at the end you said that you will wipe of alcohol ink, probably your just made mistake because it was just alcohol and not alcohol ink.
    Keep going

    • @JulesMadisonArtByDesign

      Yes. I meant isopropyl alcohol. Next time use a mold release agent. Thank you for watching 🌸

  • @ridgesimba

    if your mold sticks in one place when removing, can I use a little baby oil, or soapy water? since rubbing alcohol seems to be impossible to find right now with the virus. It is beautiful. Also if I am pouring thin layer do I have to use deep pour resin? I will use a square mold instead of a bottle for the hollow part.

  • @ivonepereira4806

    Can I use fresh dried flowers and clear school crafting glue (Elmer's) instead to stick the flowers to the side of the mold?

    • @JulesMadisonArtByDesign
      @JulesMadisonArtByDesign  3 года назад

      You must make sure that the flowers are completely dry and no moisture. You should be good to go.

  • @therealityartist9057

    That is beautiful jules the problem with many uses with silicone moulds they go dull after many uses and leaves the pyramids looking cloudy because the resin burns the rubber and breaks the silicone down after a couple of uses

    So I try to do a pyramid mold and for some reason every single flower that I use got destroyed could you please make a video that is very detailed on dues and don’ts about flower

    • @JulesMadisonArtByDesign
      @JulesMadisonArtByDesign  4 года назад

      Bri montini I’m sorry but I cannot make you a specific video. I used silk flowers - not real flowers. If you are using real flowers then you will need to dry them out first (ask a florist). Watch my video from beginning to end and you will see that I do not use flowers that can get crushed by the resin. I’m sorry this happened to you and it sounds like you made a really great effort. Don’t give up. Good luck. 🌸. Thanks for watching 🌸

    That's awesome! Sorry to say that you just ruined that mold with the chef's torch. It will have a spot where it melted to the resin that will show up on future pourings. No matter how careful you are, it's inevitable with those torches.

    To demold is easier introducing some water with soap betwen mold and pyramid, it slips. And please, please, do not use any knife or exacto toward any part of your body. Do it to the oposite side, with the empty space, not your hand.

  • @Beehighfive
    @Beehighfive 4 года назад +1

    Does the second pyramid inlay also have talcum powder on it? If so when you put your pointer in at 4:05 to eliminate bubbles does the dragging motion of the pointer bring the talcum powder into the resin?
    The pyramid was beautiful

    • @melissaphillis7247
      @melissaphillis7247 4 года назад +1

      There was nothing added to the inside of the second pyramid as far as I could see.

    • @JulesMadisonArtByDesign
      @JulesMadisonArtByDesign  4 года назад +1

      Exactly. The actual pyramid mold had nothing in it. The talcum powder was only between the frame and the mold to prevent suction.

    Im not using my resin for casting as it makes far too many bubbles so instead I am going to use the rest of what I have to coat my tutankhamun sarcophagus inner coffin i have been making from three months from 5000 wooden coffee sticks Costa coffee uses then will cover the whole thing in real gold leaf or maybe this real gold plating kit and it's three feet tall

    • @JulesMadisonArtByDesign

      Deep pour resin or casting resin has virtually not bubbles because it is so thin - it just takes longer to cure - all the best and thanks for watching 🌸
