- Опубликовано: 7 авг 2024
- Here is a FULL tutorial on how to make a large resin pyramid using a DEEP POUR RESIN. This “BOTTOM of the OCEAN” themed pyramid has removable lights via a hidden compartment underneath. It is a long video because there is a lot that goes into making a pyramid like this - so please stick around until the end - it will be well worth it.

Jules, it turned out beautifully! It looks very magical. Thank you for the shout out. I know what you mean about the magnets being tricky. I have actually found a much simpler way which I will be doing a video for soon. A tip for your next one is that you can’t draw your plan onto baking paper and slide it between the mould and the support. That way you can see exactly where to pour your resin up to for each layer. Xxx
Thanks so much Louise. You are a great inspiration - cannot wait to see your next one. All the best and be safe 😷
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've taken all your tips in board. Have just been away and collected shells and sand. I wanted the continuity of depth that you've given. It's my 1st attempt so hopefully I can get something resembling this. Only issue is I don't have a hot gun. Any suggestions. Also the sand you mixed in in the UK will PVA glue work? Similar to Hodge Podge. Your work is outstanding 🥰
11:40 - Curly, from the Three Stooges, would be proud of how you stuck out your pinkie when you poured. Old-timers will get this one.
Miley onDisney hahaha 😂
She did it again with a Fabulous art sculpture ! You did a wonderful job 👏🏻👍🏼😊
Thank you so much 😀
I admire your tenacity, it's a very pretty piece and worth the wait.
Thank you so much 🌸
Very unique, beautifully designed, elegant, you are really talented and can't wait to see more of your work!
Thank you so much!
No words…. Absolutely stunning!!!!!! I believe the void made with the bottle made the pyramid more attractive in detail. Love it ❤❤❤
Thank you very much!
It's just beautiful. I love the little diving turtle the most. I really enjoyed watching this creation.
Roselily Resin Creations Thank you 😊 so much 🌸
This is absolutely stunning!!!! My 11 year old son is obsessed with the ocean. He would love something like this in his room. Ive been playing around with resin for about a year now..coasters, trays, Keychains and moved on to resin painting. I think this is my next project! Already ordered the mold lol this is breath taking!!!!
marikie marie So cute. Great night light for him. Thanks for watching 🌸
Lovely! For those of us who can’t wait, !!!the demolding reveal is at about 40 minutes. Wow.
For sure. Pyramids are definitely frustrating because they take a lot of time (and money) The reveal is worth it in the end though. They are so beautiful.
Possibly. I’ve not tried it. It always comes out in the end. Just takes about 10 minutes. I’ve since found a new silicone method. Thanks for watching 🌸
Literally gorgeous, beautiful pyramid, amazing job. Thank you Jules for your tutorials. 🙏
Thank you so much and thanks for watching 🌸
One of the best video tutorials I've seen. Very calm.. organized and simple. First time viewer and I agree with the rest.. your voice is very calming. Awesome piece 💜
Welcome aboard! and thank you so much ☺️
Wow, just WOW!! There are no words, this turned out stunning. I can't wait to try one now lol.
Mindy Drummond thank you Mindy 😘 I appreciate your feedback and thanks for watching 🌸
Wow. Love it!
I had already viewed Singleton's video in the past. You created a beautiful work of art. ♥️👍
Thank you very much! I did a collaboration once with Louise. Thanks for watching 🌸
Stunning. I didn't expect such clarity and no trace of layers. Tutorials I've seen had different colour layers. Seeing all in one colour is so realistic and beautiful.. You did a great job and the tip to save resin with the void for the lights is invaluable. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you 🌸
Is there any issue with the layers not at hearing together properly given the time left between them?
Nice piece of art. My wife watched this with me now she wants me to make her one
Phillip Christy It’s a lot of fun a lot of work but the unveiling is amazing. Thanks for watching 🌸
What a lovely piece. I do pyramids too, and in case you don’t know about this, I’ll share my tricks.. Instead of a bottle, I use one of my silicon mixing cups, weighted down with stones, it just pulls out easily. I also just use clear resin instead of glue in my sand, then I don’t have to worry about it sticking to the mold,
I do this too now I have a long silicone tube. It’s brilliant. Thanks for watching 🌸
Beautiful! I just started with resin I wont be making something this big any time soon doing small pieces but I enjoy it so far.
max powers well done you! You made a start and that’s what is important. Find a good quality resin and get to know it. Good luck on your journey. Thanks for watching 🌸
Wonderful - I think each one of your creations gets better and better! Thank you for sharing x
Gloria Challinor Thank you so much 😊🌸

Dear Jules, love your work. I made a pyramid after watching Louise Singleton. I used a silicone measuring cup for the lights. It was great came right out
Wonderful!! I have since bought a silicone insert for lights. Thanks for watching 🌼
This is absolutely phenomenal! This piece is so amazing! Ive just subscribed to your channel and have been watching your videos and you're GREAT! I've been very interested in starting my own small buisness creating lots of different things alot of DIYs. And I have just fell in love with all the epoxy and resin art its absolutely INCREDIBLE and your work is fantastic. I havent quite dabbled with the epoxy and resin stuff yet because I'm still learning how to mold clay and create shadowboxdes, other decor and displays. Ive been on the learning path for several months now and I cant wait to start dabbling with epoxy and resin. Thank you for posting such great content ill definitely be turning to your videos for "How Too"!!! God bless
Bless you and I wish you so much good luck. Keep watching many tutorials and you will be wonderful. Thank you so much for watching 🌸

That's absolutely stunning. Well done
Thank you 🌸
Just magnificent. Amazing.
Stunning piece off work your so talented seen many pyramid tutorials so far this is the best x
Thank you so much Anna 🌸
next time, I would start the next layers whilst the previous layer was still hardening. That way, it wont look like there are separate layers when you are finished!
Thank you 😊
To protect the point at the top, suggest you put it back into the support frame when working on putting lights in and the base work
This turned out amazing, very cool. You did fantastic 💙💙💙
Thank you so much! 🌸

DIY ROOM thank you so much. I can’t wait to make another one. It’s a lot of work but worth the result for sure. Thanks for watching 🌸
it's beautiful!! I love it!
Thank you! 😊
Not many people have worked this out but you have just said unlike any other silicone moulds the pyramid mould can make many different sizes all from one size mould because of its unique shape and I wonder how many people have worked that out and makes any sense because every silicone mould not one of them can produce a different size from the same thing lol it takes a clever person to work that out and see what I mean and where I am coming from one size fits all lol
Exactly ! Thanks for watching David 🌸
@@JulesMadisonArtByDesign your welcome i know a clever person when I see one i made my first pyramid last four of them one for every occasion but I want to get my pyramid mould and stand from out of my store but I can't because of this global lockdown rules and am not aloud to leave the house for anything else other than just food medicine etc. I i don't really want to have to buy another pyramid mould and stand from Amazon when I already have one in a store because they are quite expensive to buy and also would have to wait a whole month again for it to arrive from China or Hong Kong again
@@JulesMadisonArtByDesign sorry i messed up my message a bit on this i I ment too say i made four pyramids last year and was my very first time I ever used a pyramid mould and really loved it
So beautiful!
Thank you! 😊

Thank you so much 🌸
@@JulesMadisonArtByDesign You are very welcome! Sub'd! :D
I've been meaning to make a pyramid with lights. Love how yours turned out. I have done several sea turtle ocean pyramids and wanted to do some variation. Might I make a suggestion with regard to the sand you added. Instead if using glue, use resin. It works great and you will not have to babysit the creeping sand etc.
Yes, but I don't like how the resin darkens the sand. The glue keeps the sand its natural light color. But thanks though and thanks for watching 🌸
@@JulesMadisonArtByDesign hmm I use a white sand and add a bit of color, but it stays light. But I get what you're saying, personal preferences 😊
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Omg! U are so talented! I still can’t figure out how u make things stand up
So beautiful
Thank you so much

That is beautiful.
Thank you 😊 and thanks for watching 🌸
@@JulesMadisonArtByDesign I just found you. Just got into resin and working with molds which I have found some small ones are a pain to work with.
Iam satisfied so beautiful 👍
Perfect job young lady :) I do heaps of resin work on my wood lathe. I strongly suggest mixing both base and hardener in one container then pour all into a second container.. why? if you have base remaining un-mixed in container 1 it has a chance of not mixing thus sticky cure. It is a definite mix in the second container.
I’ve never had a sticky cure yet luckily. Sometimes I transfer to a second container depending on the amount of resin. It’s an interesting science for sure.
Looks fantastic! Please do remember that volume cannot be measured on a scale. Only weight is measured that way. It just happened to work okay for you on this project but others using a different resin may not be so lucky.
I have a scale that measures volume. Thanks for watching 🌸
@@JulesMadisonArtByDesign scales don't measure volume. Ounces is not a unit of volume measurement. Ounces is a weight.
@@Kelli_M fluid ounces are volume and clearly she states her scales measure this
Love... Great BEAUTY.
Thank you so much 🌸
Bonjour c'est une merveille bravo 👏👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹😘😘
Merci beaucoup et merci d'avoir regardé 🌸
looks awesome very creative and well done only thing i would change is run a bead of silicone to hold sand back remove before pouring final layer. or second option ( I have never tried this) but maybe just mix sand with resin instead of glue.
Great idea
This is very pretty🥰
Thank you and thanks for watching 🌸
Very pretty . I m sure it won’t be going for $50:00 . I would keep it before I would let it go so cheap . You work is so beautiful .
Thank you for sharing .👍
Thank you so much. It actually sold for around $180 😁
Also... To get the correct amount of resin to start at the top of your mould, pour sand in and use this as a guide for measuring. Oh! the silcone on the bottom is perfect. Try not using hot glue to place it but replace it with masking tape to hold it down and vertical.
Thanks for the info!
