man ive said it before but as a painter you guys always surprise me i know the paint and prep work isnt the best but the end result is always so satisfying its really cool to see bodywork and paint on youtube. usually Its all tutorials and how toos so its nice to just see someone give it ago cause it gives confidence to others out there that they can do it

Edit: Also, if these aren’t for the Sil80 I’m going to be disappointed 😂 that car really deserves some great suspension with all the effort you put into. Not that I don’t want to see it on Kevin or the Miatas or E30 but Kevin is slammed with custom suspension and the Miata and E30s are both beaters as of right now, in the future they should definitely get an upgrade as well, but for the time being I’d be surprised and a bit disappointed to not see those go on the Sil80 😅 Either way though I’m sure it’s going to be fantastic! Congrats again guys!!! ❤

I think that rear axle should be abit beefier i know karts run large hollow axles, tubes got more rigidity over solid and if you can mount the bearing blocks as close as possible to the wheel hubs it will definitely help keep that axle straight its 100% possible to get them closer will require some fab work though but worth it.

I think the main noise was from the chain. When u pull the throttle the chain gets very tense on the top and slack on the bottom as the engine pulls the rear axle. The slack on the bottom will occasionally hit the frame making noise. On a bike you should have a freeplay of roughly 2-3 cm. Since the bike is attached this way, the geometry should remain the same so you could make the chain a bit tighter with 1-2cm of freeplay. But it always has to have some! Otherwise you are risking that the chain will break. Or you can just give it some more space in the front so it dosne't hit the floor. Also I don't know if you thought about adjusting the freeplay. Especially when new, the chain will strech (also considering the extra tension with your weight, maybe even drifting) and you should be able to adjust the freeplay of the chain throughtout its lifetime. The chain also shouldn't be very loose, since you would feel the slack when going on/off throttle and it could fall off the sprocket, possibly causing damage. Your setup is very similar to some chain-driven atvs with solid axle. On these you adjust the freeplay by moving the axle.
