I am in that crowd scene at the Concord Pavillion, I won tickets from Don Bleu's radio show and my friend Sharon and I went. They asked people to stay at the end of the concert to film the song. Wow, that brings back some fun memories. Thanks for posting this! PS - The footage does not really show his face, but that is John Stamos on the drums.
I like early '90s Carl, when he'd stopped fighting the Love train and just given in. He seems like he's having fun in this and the Rock 'n' Roll to the Rescue videos
Took a long search. This is one of my favorite videos an song. This summer is anything but paradise. Posted on Facebook again hoping it will Wake up the zombies!
The 1st time I saw The BeachBoys was on my Birthday in 1996 some friends suprised me with it. a body guard told the BeachBoys it was my Birthday Mike Love kept Pointing to me and waved Security threw some kids out that had no Tickets but somehow managed to sneak on the stage. There was an elderly woman there she looked Confused Security probably called an Ambulance because she didnt seem to know who she was or where she was. Anothertime I saw the BeachBoys was in 1999 or 2001 they Peformed at aplace called Devos Hall. A guard took me back stage after the show I met the BeachBOYS drummer nice guy the final time was in2003 at The Highschool I used to go to school at I got Snubbed by Mike Love when all I wanted was for him to autograpgh my hat. I did meet a nice girl there we danced through out the Concert how would u feel if a celebirty snubbed u like Mike Love did to me?
How anyone could not love this is beyond me! They are singing about what is going on. I have made a few environmental videos also. Something has to Wake up people..
Live version is miles better than the studio version. To be honest, I don’t mind either, I think there are far worse songs on that album and the title track always has good energy live
People would rather live in delusion an fantasy land. I have been following the environment for decades. Just hope humanity does not wait to long long too Wake Up!
I like on the UK version where they try to replicate this version and it sounds like someone copy pasted a cymbal all over the place and made it really slow
This isn't a bad song. Glad the band has continued to perform this live over the years. Is the sax player Richie Cannata, who played with Billy Joel on many of Billy's albums? Sad to see footage of Carl playing, knowing that he had less then five years to live from the date of this footage.
So all you who keep knocking Mike Love, who is one off the original members, get all your BEACHBOYS albums with Mike singing on them , put them in the bin or better than that, in a charity shop.
2:59 Bruce straight lookin like a cabbage patch kid lol
Or an Oblivion NPC! :D
precisely the moment Bruce hair which was great before stopped working and he turned into a retired golf grandpa.

I was there as well, does a clear copy appear of this video exist?
let me try that in English: does a clear copy of this video exist?
It's Mike Kowolski, long time Beach Boys' side-man.
Super CHEEZY Mike Love tune.
Shud have been a big hit single..
A song about environmental awareness coming from dudes who would later play at a trophy hunting convention
Hunting, in the right context, is good for the environment.
Bruce sounds SO GOOD here.

This band once went toe to toe with the Beatles…

Wonderful song.
This is A great song !!!!
Fun fun fun song this My favorite song in beach boys years of 2012

Ok but I'd rather listen to Don't go Near the Water
Live version is miles better than the studio version. To be honest, I don’t mind either, I think there are far worse songs on that album and the title track always has good energy live
Take any Beach Boys song that isn't that good and you can always find one that's worse.
I don't get why people think this song is bad, it's great! Tbh, the live version is way better than the studio recording
It's a terrible album but this song is a small gem. It's a catchy with a good message.
@@NathanielChristopher this album isn’t as bad as everyone gives it credit for.
@@41moose you’re right
It’s worse
I agree and the album itself is awesome. This version is the better than the studio recording because I love Bruce’s vocals on this.
I think the problem with the message is it's ambiguity, and the hypocrisy of it being delivered by Reaganites.
People didn't like this album but it is one of my favourites cliffy in Hexham
Agree ! Really enjoy the album !
Why wasn't this song a massive hit ?????
Gotta bring the shirtless vests back in style!
I remember appeared on Baywatch ,they played that Song. If anyone remembers that episode?.
Still one of my all time favorite songs and videos. Despite the actor being in Fantasy land, we can still turn things around!!
One of the greatest songs ever about the environment!
It’s written about Mike Love trying to coast off nostalgia, environmental stuff takes the back seat
@@notoriousblt1038 Mike Love > Everything Else
People really trash this song and I guess the album sold extremely poorly. But hey, it's still a noble and good song.
nope
It's an ego trip disguised with an environmental message. That aside it's probably the best song on the album melodically
People would rather live in delusion an fantasy land. I have been following the environment for decades. Just hope humanity does not wait to long long too Wake Up!
Having fun fun fun and rockin' out to Rhonda and Barbara Ann have fuck all to do with the environment.
The last great Beach Boys song !!!! 1992
Mike Love does a great job in this song. And Bruce Johnston

that is richie cannata yes! :)
@@EloraBB Thanks for the info. about Richie!
Oh good lord.
O Mike love não queria mexer na fórmula e não deveria ter mexido. Que bagunça
Co-written with Sid and Marty
Kroft?
christ
Without Brian Wilson The Beach Boys is just a cover band. Mike Love is awful

Great song AND UNDErrated album with poor production...........
this mix is horrible
Benjamin Folkers your attitude is horrible
@@thejiggy22 y-you too
