- 22,093 feet above sea level - no car has ever gone higher. On 2 December, racing driver Romain Dumas and Porsche set a new world record, taking two modified Porsche 911s to the peak of the Ojos del Salado volcano in Chile - the farthest above sea level that a land vehicle has ever been.

Stock jeep wrangler rubicon can do that without carbon fiber and “ incredible suspension”.
Off road suspension isn't that quiet usually they creak rattle pop

How can you get used to that noise coming from that body roll system? Every two seconds I'd instinctively think something was broken.
Its not a jeep so youre not going to get that comfortable silent suspension since Porsche doesnt innovate in this area. But yeah youre right, they couldnt sell a car lifted like this stock its unacceptable, but still cool.
@@fxlltxtsearch One of things you learn to do in all racing sports is listening for indicators of failing or damaged equipment. It's hard enough to do that without a contraption a foot behind your head clinking and clacking over every bump and turn. It's an innovative contraption for sure. You'd think with the money behind this they could dampen the noise. Maybe you get used to it after a while?
@@SpookyFow yeah I agree, I think its just a matter of specialty of the business. Since its not porsche’s specialty to do offroad suspension systems it makes sense that this suspension system is all clunky and dingy. If jeep or toyota collaborated with them on this it would have been silent.
Its my dream to have a lifted 964 one day but thats largely because of how rare it is to even see a lifted prosche

I drove my stock '89 Prelude to 10,000 feet. Although I did have gravel/dirt road and some pavement 😂 That gravel section would take 17 minutes at 10 10ths & no guard rails. Yes I'm talking about infamous hwy 165 in NM to the Sandia Crest.
If only "normals" could buy one. Bring that MSRP down to 60-80k and cut off that dealer BS markup. If it doesn't come with wheels thats fine.

Nah the lifted 911’s are way more interesting than an SUV. The 911 reflects porsches history in rally in dakar and is going by to be more effective with the flat 6

Horsepower doesn't change with gear ratio. RPM* and TORQUE output change with gear selection.
