I think the Castle is one of those things thats ever changing versus the other museums. I was surprised too when I saw all the future and pop culture displays. Last time I visited it was mostly history.

I cannot remember which ones we went to but we went to some on my 8th Grade field trip and it was one of the best times I’ve ever had. I remember one of the kids in one of my little 4 kid groups was a Chinese exchange student who didn’t speak any English at all and at one of the Museums there was a giant food court with food from different countries and he went to the Chinese one and started talking to one of the workers and looked so happy to finally be able to talk to somebody. I remember the museums being huge but I was also 14.

One of my favorite parts of the American History museum is in the sea section, where you can tap on the screen and listen to various shanties. Wish they had a wider selection of them, but what they’ve got is a pretty decent cross section of the sea shanties of the period.

Connections to communities and the world. We are strong enough to see the strings and divots… and the courage to realize the Beauty of sacrifice and imperfection yet seeking better amidst very imperfect process.
Shining at home helps to increase shine in others and helping to brighten the darkness.

Well done thank you for posting. You have a few mistakes but overall very well done job. I know all these buildings intimately from childhood thru adulthood. They have changed very much and not so much for the better. If you come back I would be glad to walk you around and convey some history.
I'll be looking to watch more of your content.

We were there April 17-18, 2023 and unfortunately two of the five buildings were closed for renovations and 2/3 of the air space museum was also closed for the same thing so the rockets and space part of the museum was closed, very disappointed as we will most likely never be in the area again.

    • @JoseOnTour
      @JoseOnTour  Год назад

That’s very unfortunate. We had the same experience when we visited the museums. We went during our kids winter break and there was very short notice/poor communication. I filmed the Air & Space on a Tuesday and suddenly the following day it was closed for renovations through March.
The Museum of Natural History was opened throughout the week then on a Thursday it suddenly closed for renovation until April. But the website wasn’t updated. Just some sheets in-front of the museum.

The Southern1401 locomotive was a actual locomotive which was donated by the Southern railway. It was transported by tractor trailer to its location as the building was built.

On 5/20/2011 The Air & Space Museum acquired my gifts...😊...Promotional coin banks commemorating America's involvement in the Space Race...
M.W. initially wanted to push the mechanical banks for the Destination Moon Exhibit; apparently, that fell through...But...
On 10/14/2022 one specimen was placed in the One World Connected exhibit...😀..!

@@JoseOnTour Thank you...This makes the fifth museum out of the nine that I donated to who are currently displaying my gifts in exhibits...
If you want a new video idea, travel to these other four museums to view these intriguing American Space Race era artifacts: Queens Museum and USS Intrepid Museum in New York City (my hometown,) Ford Museum of Innovation in Dearborn, Michigan (near where these banks were made,) and the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum in Boston, Mass...

Great info to start my planning.
But if I could share one tip, I had a coworker that spoke like you and it was driving us all nuts.
He would put spaces in the middle of his sentences. To people like us it sounds like @14:33 "George Washington. Built relationships. With native Americans. Stating. that Native Americans. were vital. to the growth of the American republic. And Across America. We see monuments of Washington. Engaging. With Native Americans. But! Was started. As Treaties of Peace. Evolved. Into taking land for the growth of a new nation."
If you can get the fluidity down. You got it made.
