Still have a WD-45 and use it cultivating, had a D-17 Series IV diesel which was a great tractor but my brother sold it. I was impressed that these series tractors did not leak oil from the rear and trans after 30 or 40 years of use like many other brands. The Buda/Allis-Chalmers 262 diesel ran great. It had an interesting pre-combustion cell type injection system.

We have a D14 tricycle. It is a powerful little tractor for only 31hp. It is also very fun to drive with power steering. I would love to pull our v-rake with it but it only has 1 hydraulic coupling, would it be possible to add another for oil drain back?

I will never understand why Agco chose MF over AC I won't speak for the rest of the world. Haven't been there. I have D-14 with mid mount mower but tractor engine is stuck. Haven't been able to free it yet. Might have to drop crank from bottom and but piston rods with overhaul kit from beating they'll take driving pistons out. Well that's another day.

Pull all the plugs and put an ounce of Aero Kroil in each cylinder, let it sit for a few hrs and try rolling it over with a socket on the crank. If nothing try another couple of ounces and try rocking the crank back and forth with a socket and breaker bar. That stuff has unlocked quite a few engines for me over the years, even a few two strokes that people didn't use mix in. Best of luck.

      Hallo Keith,
MF's worldwide's reputation over all continents maybe the reason for that decision. But i feel with You! There might have been no need to quit the Name Allis Chalmers as a tractors brand, but it's history. But it also was to quit because of the other industry sectors, AC was known for at this time.
Maybe some day they will remember this great name and it's tradition behind it! The Traction Booster System and "the big stick" just worked!
