@@alokasiablackmagic3444 i actually stick a few balls of leca in my propagation station to help maintain the biology there as bacteria can cling onto the rough clay and i can replace the water to keep it clear but kickstart the ecosystem again relatively quickly. i don't rinse the roots either and avoid letting them dry so that i maximise bacterial growth but minimize things like algae.
Me and my uncle went to our local plant store bc he needed some plants in his home. And I got to pick and help him... 🙂 Like OMG 🤩 and I even got to pick my own plant to myself bc I am carrying for his plants and see if they're doing well or not. Get rid of pest and such. And he buy the stuff I say it may need.
I did like it. You looked so calm. Even when separating the roots. Good thing. Question. Other then making sure to keep soil moist can you give me an advise on transition from water to soil. I struggle and stress when I do transition. But loving to watch roots grow in water is why I continue doing it. 🌱❤️ Thank you.
Have you heard of the hair pin trick? I use them to pin my strings and my vines down in to the soil so they could help when you prop more string of hearts to seperate them like you had originally wanted. You pull the pins apart so they are wider and won’t cut in to the stems and then you pin them in to the dirt/soil. It’s amazing. They are called Bobby pins here in Australia too. Nice and relaxing vid ❤️
I’m surprised you didn’t transition the p. Brasil to that semi hydro mix you’re trying. As I was watching you plant up the first plant I thought to myself, I’d struggle to give that up, and sure enough you then said you might keep it for yourself! Loving this video!
Did you know that pothos give off a chemical or something that helps other cutting root faster I wish I remember the word but I don't haha plantarina talks about all the time I've tired it works well for me also thanks for the video fern I love them all especially the pot with me and chores
i usually propagate all my plants together in the same few containers because of that! i thought that if they were producing root hormones, then some of it would have to leech into the water and kickstart the process in other plants. it's similar to ethylene in fruits causing ripening! (fun fact: i grow tomatoes and whenever the plants are pulled out of the soil and there are a bunch of green tomatoes, i just stick them in a pot with a lid and a few ripe ones to kickstart the ripening process. :)))
Enjoyed this video in the morning, thanks for the good vibes! Love the way you look in this video, fresh, young and natural, maybe because of the lashes
Yay! You can check that off of your list! I love the prop wall!😍. You should find spider and put in your cabinet, so you know where it is! I jumped when the rug touched you keg too🤣! Awesome video!

Been loving these creative intros and the editing you have been doing. the content of your videos are always great, but the editing is a little cute bonus
Not me changing my prop water on my Maranta weekly, only to find out I don't have to! 🤯 I hope you keep that peals and jade because WOW! Gorgeous. 😍 I think an adansonii would look lovely on your prop wall btw.
Perfect timing i can't wait to watch! 🥰 I'm currently repotting my alocasia poly since she has been very unwell and i didn't know why... turns out she has some mesh wrapped around the roots from before i got her and now I'm trying to get it all off 😭
I hate those plugs! I've only had one plant ever survive that was planted in those things. I never repotted them soon enough to discover it until it was too late. If it goes south, I put both of my bulb/corm things from my Polly into plastic cups with moss and they started rerooting and activating growth within a week. I truthfully thought they'd be dead because I left them in soil assuming they were dead with no care what so ever for almost a year before I emptied the pot and pulled them out. Figured I may as well try. Now I have two baby Pollys growing! Alocasia are super easy to reroot from bulbs
@@lindsayjohnston1785 Thank you Lindsay!!! I found 6 bulbs and took them all out, I knew you could grow them from the bulbs but I was wondering exactly what to do with them! I'll pick up some moss tomorrow and give it a try 💚
Love your content ❤ we don't have superthrive over here but I've been using the hydroponic fertilizer that I use with leca and my monstera appears to love it, still have to try it on my other water propagation though
pilea peperomioides please! I have a leaf from my plant that died on me because i moved from states to state and it got damaged on the drive, I have left it in water propagating already for a month and still nothing but the leaf is green wondering if im doing something wrong.
So for the golden pothos, will you be putting the moss pole in later? I just remembered with you brazil cuttings, i thought you put the pole in right away?
How do you compare propagating in the moss to perlite? Perlite seems quicker than water and easier to tease out the roots than the moss..?! Is there AC in your house?! Sorry it’s so hot for you!!!
Can you please propagate a maranta and a scindapsus? Trying to see exactly where to cut lol Also, if you have any succulents that are propagating and ready to be potted, can you show that? I can get them to grow new friends but then I’m at a loss and they keep rotting when I pot them🤦🏾♀️
OMG AHAHAHAH ME WITH SPIDERS AND COCKROACHES !!! IN EDGE TILL I SEE IT OUTSIDE OR DEAD 😂 even with having plants for so long i get insane shivers dealing with mealy bugs ahahahah
Although I like my prop boxes I love the look of water props. I'd like to see a water prop of a monstera peru, mine isn't happy and I am not sure what I want to do about it.🤔😂
Fern I’m so curious if you’ve ever experienced soil mites or spring tails? I’ve noticed them recently in about 50% of my plants and I’ve read they’re usually fine but I just haven’t heard anyone talk about them and they kind of drive me nuts. Anyways, absolutely loved this video as always! and Ive now played it a few times while doing dishes, laundry and plant chores🥰
I wonder who these people are that come here and give you thumbs down 👎!!! How lame!! Just scroll on by!! How are there 11 people that purposely came to your channel just to give a thumbs down!!!!
So glad I'm not the only one who doesn't change propagation water! 😌
I heard that it’s harmful for the cuttings of you change the water totally, cos they kinda build they’re own biology in there

Fun fact: I just shazamed the "calling me like a rainbow" song, only to find out that is from artist Ooyy from Stockholm, where I live! Small 🌎💚
I've had this song on a playlist on spotify for like 2 months and I was so surprised to hear it in a youtube video! I love it ❤
I want to visit Stockholm so bad!
