I also love your appreciation for ALL your plants 🥺 I feel like I see a lot of you tubers only loving their expensive/uncommon plants when they all deserve love !
Your new camera looks so goood!!!!! Hope you find the cure for the litlle boobiez :* www.nexles.com/articles/cactus-cactaceae-treatments-common-diseases-pests-flower/ hope this helps maybe
Love this! Always makes me want to get my plant chores done. Also I know this isn’t going to be a poplar opinion but low key love when your arm is in the way and we get a good focus on your tats ! P.s your slaying the RUclips game
I’d swab all the white spots on the Boobie cactus with alcohol just to be safe. Chances are that will kill what ever that is. I feel you on cactus struggles though. I just cleaned a ton of scale off of Kevin, my porch cactus. Hope she makes it!
i'm gonna try that for totoro, my bunny ear cactus since he's got brown patches. i've tried researching it and wasn't having much luck, so thanks for the tip xx
That trellis is so cool! I hope you'll show an update when the plant fills in some more. Love your videos - you are always so relaxed and appear to be enjoying yourself. 🌱🌿
My mom has always put rocks, gems and crystals in plants. I’ve since learned that healthy house plants and the soil they live in help recharge, clear and cleanse your stones so they work better to bring your intentions to life :) 💗🤩
omg I've just tried to do a basic and stupid igtv video and it was so hard and in the end I couldn't even upload it! and I was just trying to speed up some parts..now I really appreciate more all the effort you make in putting out content for us!
When I saw you were putting your mathilde on a trellis it was immediately the thing I wanted to see most! When mine is longer again (I've propagated it to make a bigger, fuller pot) I have a heart shaped trellis I really want to put it on. Mathilde is so gorgeous on a trellis:)
Thanks for the video. I guess I don’t understand PON. Does the pot have no drainage? I’ll look back to see if you have a PON video. I love how laidback your videos are. So relaxing.
No drainage, it's similar to LECA in that it can be used for a semi hydro set up. I don't have a pon video yet, but one will be coming once I've experimented a little more :)
Your videos always help me to get my things done 🥰 currently 1am and i just did my laundry, some cleaning and my lunch for tomorow 😂 thank you 🙏 also, it motivates me to get my plant chores done too 😊
Such good quality i love plant chore vlogs, and we all do repetive chores at home and love it so seeing someone else’s chores and nice company while doing ours too :)
Just wanted to drop here to tell you how much I appreciate your videos, I can't even watch this one right now but I figured since it's new you might see my comment :) watching your videos truly helps me cope with the rough patch I'm going through right now and you're always so smiling and calm ! hope you're having a wonderful day :)
the polyneura and all the cuttings are soooooo stunning!!!!!!!!! I wish they were more accessible because what a stunning plant!!! I will have truly made it when/if I ever am lucky enough to have one!!! also this was a wonderful video!! so relaxing and satisfying :) 💜💜
Hi fern love your videos and the hoya on the trellis is stunning! 🧡 you inspired me to start a perlite prop box. I soaked too much perlite and now I'm wondering what to do with the excess as it's soaking wet. Any ideas appreciated 🙏 xx
You can cut the plastic pot off of the root system in those clear cups girl!! That way you won’t have to destroy roots 😘😘 Love your vids!! Also predatory mites are like under $1 a pack if you look hard and super helpful 🖤 Love the hip hop vibes 🎶
hey, Fern !! be very careful not to wet the pyrite that you have on your umbrella plant !! when pyrite gets wet it can dissolve (and it becomes sulfuric acid) lots of love from Spain 🥰
I am SO getting that wee snake trellis when my climbing babies get a little bigger 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Literally the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in the plant world!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍
I highly recommend the beneficial bugs, I'm almost through my second round of them and I've noticed a huge difference. They can definitely be pricey though when you have a lot of plants.
I love the shape of your opuntia; it looks so happy! When financial situations are better, I recommend the Succulent Soil Mix by Plant Collective. Or you could do 1 part horticultural sand, 1 part perlite or pumice, and 1 part worm castings mix.
Hi I am a new viewer I love the way you repotted your plants I would like to know where did you get your tray to repot your plants I enjoyed the video.
I just put my mathilde on a little hoop trellis, and I LOVED it so much that I bought a taller trellis because it’s growing like wild right now. Don’t tell my other plants, but I think the mathilde is seriously my favorite plant 😬😂
I am in bed, chilling to your videos- the best relax! I really love your yt channel and your charm, it's irreplaceable! By the way, greetings from Poland 🌿💚
Could you please explain why you put only one cutting in per pot? I feel like I try to squish as many as possibly into a pot so my cuttings form a full base. Thanks 😄
@@wildfern thanks so much for the reply. That makes total sense! If I was trying to get a clipping for one of my wishlist plants, I literally would be so honored to have even 1 small leaf clipping haha
I love your nails they are so pretty! I want this hoya too but I don't know where to put it so I wanted to ask you what light it needs. which plants would you recommend for low light?
Thanks so much! Hoya typically tend to like bright lighting, you could always use a grow bulb too :) next week I actually have a video going up featuring low light plants so keep your eye out
Its really hard to tell, but my first guess with your Boobie Cactus is Corking! Its a natural process where cacti and succulents turn brown and their flesh hardens. Its mostly to help stabilize the plant as it grows, and its just a normal sign of aging. No way to prevent it and no way to slow it down. As long as the flesh isn't soft, and the corking isn't significantly worse over the course of a couple weeks, than I wouldn't be worried that's its fungal.
I was never a big hoya person but your mathilde and Polyneura make me wish I had the conditions for hoya. I love hoya obovata and compacta too...maybe I am a hoya person hhahaha. Love your videos always
The obovata and mathilde are such easy ones, especially for beginners. Don't need too much of humidity but enjoy a bright spot. Don't overwater and they are fine. From what I've heard the polyneura is a bit finnicky.
Do not cut the roots of a plant in leca. These are hydroponic roots that can sit in water. You can make semi hydroponic set up where smaller pot with your plant and leca hangs a little bit above the bottom of the bigger pot. Bigger pot makes as a reservoir for the water with nutrient solution. If you have a problem to match sizes of the pots you can get a little creative (I sometimes use plastic caps from water bottles, or cut a plastic bottle to make some kind of stand for smaller pot that I put on the bottom of the bigger pot) :)
Hi I have a question about Hoyas and using orchid mist fertilizer. I have recently come into the possession of my great grandmothers Hoya ( Hoya Carnosa I believe..it's never flowered so IDK for sure ) what are the benefits of using orchid mist fertilizer over regular fertilizer?
I just like it because it’s easy & the Hoya enjoy it! You can fertilizer either way - soil or foliage. A lot of people swear that it made their Hoyas take off, so I just like to do it every couple of weeks for good measure 🤓
@@wildfern great thanks! Do you use regular fertilizer as well or only the orchid one? I’m new to your channel so I apologize if you’ve covered all of this before.
In nature Hoyas grow along trees and get their nutrients mainly through the leafs. The orchid mist benefits them and promotes growth. I spray mine every one to two weeks. During growing season you can add regular organic fertilizer into your water once a month. But dilute it down quuuuiiiiiiteeee a bit since hoyas are not heavy feeders.
can you make a video top 10 most expensive or rare plants in your collection that'd be fun
yep sure! *adds to list*
Oh hey girl I see you on the plant group all the time!
@@knitwit2871 hahaha really? yah I'm always on the plant groups. add me :)

Plant chore videos are just the most perfect for watching while doing plannnnttt chores. Watering right now and I’m so chill. 🥰
I never use potting mix straight out of the bag. I always add lots of perlite and orchid bark. Especially when it comes to cacti. 🌵
Day made! One of my favorite kinds of videos from you :,) sending love, Fern!
Awesome!! Enjoy 😊
I absolutely love you plant chores videos and repot videos. ❤️🪴🌵❤️

I usually just leave mine in a strainer/colander until it dries out and then store it in a container for later use. Thank you for watching ☺️

My umbrella plant did something similar with a sudden new baby leaf at the bottom, it eventually grew into a whole new branch!
Wahhh so cool!!!

Ooo can you do an update on your cacti in a little bit? I'm also not great with them and I think have the same tiny pots as you
Where did you get the potting mats. I love it, your the only person I seen with one🤓✌️🌻
Mine had white spots and a friend told me I was under watering it. They went away when I upped the watering.

New plant mum here, would you be able to do a video tips and must-haves for beginner plant parents please.
I love these plant chore videos
yellowing in cacti is usually over watering or pour drainage
never mind i saw those roots and i was damn! maybe she just really needed that repot!
Fern do you water your cactus and opuntia when you repot them? Or did you just repot in dry soil and leave it? Thanks in advance....
i would let it adjust to new soil personally for like a week 😀
I didn't water them because the soil was still slightly moist. I will water once they look thirsty!
