    I agree. I'm keeping my house at 50% and most of my plants are doing very well and growing with the grow lights. I don't have any calathea of anthuriums yet, so I can't attest to that just yet. And thanks...I've got one long polyneura plant and I've needed to prop it for ages. You just gave me the push to do so. Thanks, Happy Tuesday!!

    Jeff, thanks for this information. The Poly was the one Hoya that I really wanted. I was able to purchase BEFORE the hurricanes so I got them at a decent price. I am glad that you talked about the bloom. I would want to know if it smelled. I have not had much luck in a prop box. When I did have one it was filled with Spaghnum Moss so maybe I WILL try the perlite. The perlite works for my props that I put in clear cups. Thanks Again for your information (I do value your info !!!!!!). Hope you have a great day!!!!!!! 🪴🌼🪴

    I finally propped my Polyneura Varigata and my Broget. I was so scared but they grow so fast I'm hoping they prop easy.
    The Varigata cutting is in stratum and i think it's going okay. The Broget I just cut last night and took a whole vine making 6 cuttings. Once I cut it I noticed three peduncles! I wish I waited because I just started collecting hoyas and none of them have flowered yet.
    I'm going to love the look of a full pot though!! Especially the varigata, out of my 100+ plants it's my favorite💚🌿

    Great video Jeff. I have had a crimson princess for over a year and still no peduncles. Boo. I may have been under watering because it started to push out new runners when I increased watering. So now I don’t try to wait for the leaves to get softer before watering and instead when the soil is mostly dry.

    That was helpful, I realize now why my bilobata has been blooming repeatedly, I moved it closer to grow lights resulting in sun stress and flowers!

    This was so useful thank you. I have a cutting that has quite easily produced new growth but the leaves have become lime green. I now realise it is too close to the grow light. I’ll move it back to 3” .

    My hoyas were thriving until our Canadian winter hit, I noticed a couple stems that were growing started to die. This is my first winter with my plants, I was worried about overwatering and now I think it may have been due to underwatering.

      Just feel the leaves before you water. Just when they start to feel thin, then it is time for water. I always use the leaves to know when to water.

    I examine every new plant & just got a Hoya Lacunosa and found 4 Mealy Bugs. What treatment do you use to clean or kill MealyBugs
    I spot cleaned q tip with an Alcohol sanitizer & visibly all died instantly. I also looked with LED Magnify Glass and found 2 tiny tiny white bugs walking on soil, I killed them too. I will watch daily and kill any that’s visible to eye. But should I remove soil, rinse roots & repot clean pot & soil? It’s a Hoya Lacunosa and don’t want to toss it. What treatment do you do for Mealy Bugs?

    • @EverythingPlants
      @EverythingPlants  Год назад +1

      Thankfully, I have not found mealy bugs on any of my Hoyas, but I think the main treatment is to use a q-tip with alcohol and I would even mist the leaves every maybe week or so until you no longer see any mealy bugs. Also check the soil because I've heard there can be root mealy bugs. Maybe pull your plant out of the pot, check the roots, check the soil and just to be on the safe side repot and some fresh soil.

I Went Into Captain Save-A-Plant Mode!!! The Little $41.04 Cent Green Homie Just Struggled Himself To Death!!! I'm Still L💚💚KING To Get Another One... Thinking About Getting A 4 Incher Which Should Be A More Established Plant... BUT You Just Never KNOW Until You Open THE BOX...
