Bingo! In 1978 I was 14 and was learning to play guitar. I had been playing “cowboy chords” for 2 years but really wanted to start getting heavy into rock rhythms and playing. My older brother brought home the newly released, now legendary Van Halen debut album. Of course “Eruption” blew my mind! But when the needle hit “I’m The One” and I heard that funky, swingin’ rhythm, it was like the heavens opened up! Then the ripping solos hit.
