Gajendra dc supply is used to provide steady magnetic field in rotor.
This is not achieved with ac supply.

No we cannot vary speed of Synchronous motor.
All Synchronous motor run on Synchronous speed. But Synchronous speed depends on no. Of pole.
So, for example, all Synchronous motor having 2 poles have same RPM.

Question: Sir agar Synchronous Motor may Rotor speed aor Synchronous speed equal hoti hay matlab k dono aik he speed say rotate karty hen toh According to Slip Formula jab dono may relative speed he baqi nahen rahay gi toh Motor band q nae hoti ??? When rotor speed and Synchronous speed both are equal so how Torque produce???? Why motor can't stop here and why still rotating ???
Plzz reply i have not found any satisfactory answer on youtube.

Synchronous motor is work on the principle of magnetic loking. So this is the reason why rotor rotate .

Synchronous motor works on magnatic locking, not on mutual induction, so zero relative speed not affect on motor operation.
