Regarding the horse suggestions at the begiing of this video, the easiest way to get a horse early in game is head straight to Whiterun and take the carriage to Riften. The stable is right next to you when you arrive. Look around for the stablemaster (he should be right there, unless he's in his home. Just wait in place until daylight hours). I forget his name but he's a burly fellow with a gruff voice and an intimidating name, and should be the only NPC around besides guards, the carriage driver and a few Khajiit if their caravan stops by. Talk to him and mention that it seems dangerous living outside the city walls. That will lead you to a brawl offer. Like other brawls, if you beat him he becomes your friend and you can take most of his stuff without stealing. That includes BOTH horses, who respawn if the one you take dies. They are both free for the rest of the game, and you can fast travel back to Riften Stables whenever you need a new horse. IMPORTANT! Make sure you don't challenge him on his way in or out of his home (indoors make sure he's sitting, outside make sure he's leaning against the stable). When you challenge someone, there's those few seconds before they go hostile, and if he's in the middle of heading in or out when you take the bet and he manages to leave the cell you're in, he'll never get hostile for the fight and you can never challenge him again.
THIS IS FAST BUT NOT THE FASTEST In the quest: Blood On The Ice, (Murder solving one) in Windhelm enter Hjerim and grab the strange amulet. After that head on down to Collixto and sell it to him. Then pickpocket it back, and then repeat the sell, steal cycle and you can make 3000 Gold every minute with a moderate speed device, even faster depending on how fast the menus load. Doing this for an hour can give you 140,000 (unlucky pickpockets) to 200,000 (quick device and good-ish luck) Enjoy

You can use this glitch on the wall to the right of the underforge, it lets you access the npc chest for eourland and you can take 1k gold and then wait two days talk to him and repeat this forever

This still works in September 2019, latest PC version from Steam. But the second time you get there, there will be dragons and the skeleton is gone. So get as many books as possible in your first run: it does not matter how much weight you are carrying, as soon as you are on your horse you can still fast travel even when heavily overburden. After a few days the skeleton returns and you can do the book thing again. By the time you sell all the books he'll be respawned to get duplicate books. 3 or 4 game days.
a much faster way of doing this. search up hidden chests, the easiest chests to find is dawnstar chest or markarth chests, theyr super easy. no killing or searching in snow for 5 mins. plain infront of you. loot them, theres 750 gold in each of them. plus shit loads of cool weapons. the higher level u are the better stuff u find in there. if ur like 60 or 50 i think sometimes u find daedric stuff :D if ur level 30 like me you find enchanted orcish and ebony stuff worth 750 gold. and theres potions and filled soul gemms. take it all then sell it. its not counted as stealing :D then just leave the area and wait 48 hours. the chest restocks again as the chests are actually just hidden merchant chests :) so if u buy something from the kahjit merchant for 500 gold, ul find 500 gold in the chest. this works much better imo and u dont need to get speech up to level 100
If you took All of the books when you leave the skeleton , then it will despawn. Had the issue thinking to wait a while , wouldn't respawn . Just remember to leave one book and it will not despawn

theres an easier way. In Dawnstar, there might be a camp outside. There you can sell anything you have. i personally use dragonbones/scales and just sell them. When you finish that, go straight down through Dawnstar till you reach a a smelter. There will be a place where its like a little stone shelter and there will be a chest if you look straight to the ground. There you will find all her items so you will be able to get your dragon bones again and other things. Repeat the process.
Just wanna say this still works today. And if you just press take you can spam it instead of closing out and coming back. It restocks at 1 book each time you open the menu even if you take all of them

I just restarted and headed out to do this when I thought of another way to do this without having a horse or carry campacity. Just press and hold a on the skellaton and you can carry him with you everywhere. Easier if you can't afford a horse and want to do it immediately.
Or as long as you don't mind using exploits, you can use the Resto potion exploit to create a potion with a value that is so high that it becomes negative. Then sell it to the Kajiit in Dawnstar. This gives that cat an insane amount of on-hand gold. Then walk over to the front of the dawnstar mine and grab his gold out of his merchant chest. You can do this more than once if you want but really doing it once should net you at least 100 Million (I think I got over 800 million when I did it but I can't remember for sure at the moment.) Also note that you might have to first grab all of his items first and then recheck the merchant chest to get the gold. This is pretty much the quickest way I've ever seen to get stupid rich in skyrim with very little effort.
Or if you have the Dragonborn dlc find an east empire company pendant then go down to the Ratways in Riften with a follower just before you enter the Ragged Flagon tell the follower to wait drop the pendant order your follower to pick it up enter the Ragged Flagon and then leave through the same door you entered and go back up to where you dropped the pendant and there will be another one then grab the one in your followers inventory and drop both of them and order your follower to pick them up go into the ragged flagon and back out like you did earlier and there will be 4 pendants in all this time do this as much as you want then sell them to Fethis Alor in Raven Rock I got 100,000 gold in maybe 20 minutes Side notes: You can't drop the pendants in stacks they have to be individually You need 200 pendants for 100,000 gold You can find an east empire pendant in Brodir Grove just Northeast of Raven Rock
My favorite way of making infinite money is with the amulet that you get in the quest "Blood on the Ice" in Wind helm where with the lowest level speech you can sell the amulet pickpocket him (this is amazing for increasing pickpocket because it is easy to steal and is so valuable that it increases your pickpocket level each time you steal it all the way to 100) and then resell it to him.
Personally I just use a plater to clip in the side of the companions building (The easiest wall to clip through in the game by the way, at least a 90% success rate) and go under the skyforge, loot money from the chest, which without any points in speech will have 1100 gold. jump and use the forge to get out, save. attack him. load. ask what he has to sell. back out. do the platter clip again and repeat it all over again. If you make it so he is rich, you could easily get half a million gold within an hour.
If you play on a Nintendo switch I found a little hack you can do what you have to do is press the Y and the A button at the same time and then it just goes by real fast.
The skeleton is gone after the first time for me I've waited 24 hours like 3 times. Tip for waiting (Xbox 360): When you hit A to wait also hit the home button and it will freeze for a second then the menu will show up and you'll hear fast ticking then when the ticking is done you get done waiting like 10x faster. This will only feasibly make 107,500 gold per hour max at it's most efficient rate. waiting the 24 hours adds around half a minute. Furthermore travel time to the skeleton, defeating the enemies and trading rounded up adds a further 3 minutes if we round up an estimate. This is splitting hairs but you'd spend a total (again rounded up further) 10 minutes per trip earning 10750 gold each trip. this brings the total to 64,500 gold per hour. this is the slowest rate if you focus on this. It's much faster to just do the inventory glitch where you sell the trader's own inventory to them, take all their gold then quicksave (save works too, just be fast), hit them then quickload (again, load works too, just be fast) to reset their inventory and gold. the speed varies based on the value of the items they sell but selling a ~200 gold item in their inventory until they're drained will net you 10,750 gold between 1-3 minutes depending on how fast you can hit sell. then 10 seconds to reset them. 190 seconds for the process which you can do 18 times in an hour. That's 18 x 10750 = 193,500 gold per hour. And added bonus is that selling to the trader so much will also rapidly increase your speech skill. I got mine to 90 at the Riverwood trader less than 15 mins into the game. EDIT: I forgot to mention this but quickloading takes 10 seconds but regular loading will take you to the loading screen which increases the time to 40 seconds. So the slowest time would be 220 secs which can be done 16 times. 16 x 10750 = 172,000 gold. This video is a little clickbaity as TheLeuzR doesn't include travel times, fighting enemies or trading times. That said using this method will probably get the average player 70,000+ gold per hour

For anyone who wants to know, the glitch is down by clicking and holding on your name in the inventory, dragging to trader's name then hitting E (or whatever your sell key is). You will lose 1 item from your inventory though. Only the item that's highlighted.
No!!!!! Get 2 goldbars, go to weiterun, search a open spot near the entrance. Get a companion who can pick ups things, drop the 2 Goldbars (EVER ONLY 1 PIECE) and let them pick them up. THEY HAVE TO WAIT ON SPOT! Go out Whiterun and immediately in again. Then pick up the gold bars on the floor, talk to your companion, and take the goldbars out of their inventory, so you got from 2 goldbars to 3-4. do this Tim you get 1000. go to blacksmith and craft gold rings. Till you get to level 100. then you can sell those in a store and get ADDITIONALY 75.000 septime!! If you do it til legendary 5 you get 375.000 septime! One time lvl 100 leveling takes about 1 hour (Edit: You will get over 100.000 Septimen because you craft 2 rings per 1 time crafting) and it takes about 45 Minuten because I made a times while doing it!
Alternatively, instead of having to level up speech and make Lucan rich: Everytime the vendor runs out of money, save the game, kill the vendor, and load your last save. His money and his wares should be restocked.
Ysolda in Whiterun has no money limitations for buying sleeping tree sap. If you just happen to find a few hundred sap someplace or thousand whatever, you can sell them all to her at once.....Dec. 2021
I'm on 360 and it still worked when I took all the books, when u take em all and click on him again it should start back at 1 and just do the glitch same as before and it will go up like the first time I litterally just did it yesterday
If you're into exploits ... just do the Dawnstar Kajhiit one and remember to use each item to build up speech, enchant, smithing and alchemy as you go. By the time you can make a stupid price option - you can sell one bottle to any merchant for all they have.
so I just tried this in special edition and it does work, I grabbed around 4-500 books but when I went back there then the skeletons disappeared so you can only do this once from my experience. You have one opportunity to load your pockets with as much as you can and that’s it. I haven’t gone back to check the second time but last time the skeletons despawned so I had to reload a save to get as many books as possible. I only made around 10-15 thousand gold from it so it’s really not that great. edit: check the location after 3-4 in game days to see if the skeleton respawns, you might be able to do it again You can make tons of gold by just enchanting items and selling them or making really expensive potions and selling them. Make the most expensive potions you can and then duplicate them and sell them, you can do it indefinitely and make tons of gold, but gold really isn’t much of a problem in this game, I have over $100k. This doesn’t really level your speech much either. When I was leveling smithing I made around 300 gold rings which isn’t the fastest way to level smithing (making bows is better) but I pretty much have an infinite supply of cash by enchanting those and selling them.

You can get horses in rifton for free if you fight and beat the owner of the rifton stables you can take the horses for free but when you dismount they go home so keep an eye on it!
If you are happy to use in-game bugs to stock on illegitimate gold, why not spare yourself an hour and simply give yourself as much gold as you want via a console?
Because there's some difference between glitching and using an hour to get 120 gold, and cheating and using 4 minutes to find out how to do it 2 minutes of finally deciding to write the command down and 1 minute to use it which is: 4+2+1=7,000
Instead of making him rich, just sell him everything you can, quick save then hit him and reload the save. That resets his inventory, plus all his gold, it's also a good way, if you have the gold, to keep buying the same product from one person over and over again if you're farming.
Not gonna lie this is cool but empty your inventory except for accessories that add carrying weight get a follower then hand all your books to his and then fill your own inventory again

Dragons can't even hurt me :) I did the fortify Restoration Enchanting thing where you put cost 25% less on Helmet Armor Ring Necklace. Then I cast Greater Ward.
Obtain an Amulet of Mara, get married to your spouse of choice, let her/him open up a shop at home and keep asking your spouse if the store has made any money. Then just wait a bit (I am unsure how long the store takes to respawn though) and ask her again. If you don't mind exploiting try waiting 30 days or some large amount of time and you will get tons of free cash without venturing into a single dungeon or selling any of your precious, hard-earned loot! And you will be rich in no time!! :)
If I can get some ways beside the shrine glitch, then I plan to get the Breezehome house quickly, someday. Currently I have too much crap in inventory, although I’m not over-encumbered yet.

A more reliable way to make money would be making fortifying potions. There's this glitch that allows fortification potions to get up to crazy numbers like 90000%+ and you can sell each of those potions for virtually all the gold that particular merchant has.

I've used this method and to be honest I've been able to do the videos method faster. If you spam it fast enough you can get a lot of books

you can also reset the khajiit merchant in dawnstar by saving, hitting the merchant then loading the save.

Saved your RUclips channel for more videos. I noticed that they all seem to work with basic Skyrim, not the SE or Legendary versions. This is EXTREMELY helpful for those of us who do not yet have SE installed and who are low-level (like me). You seem not to have as many videos as other RUclipsrs, but each of your videos looks to be of much higher value; quality rather than quantity, I'd say. Fantastic!
theres an easier way. In Dawnstar, there might be a camp outside. There you can sell anything you have. i personally use dragonbones/scales and just sell them. When you finish that, go straight down through Dawnstar till you reach a a smelter. There will be a place where its like a little stone shelter and there will be a chest if you look straight to the ground. There you will find all her items so you will be able to get your dragon bones again and other things. Repeat the process.

Hes not a horse that is immortal to attacks, he can die, and if you ride him and fall off a high enough area, e.g. a cliff or rock he will die

Just wanna say this still works today. And if you just press take you can spam it instead of closing out and coming back. It restocks at 1 book each time you open the menu even if you take all of them

I just restarted and headed out to do this when I thought of another way to do this without having a horse or carry campacity. Just press and hold a on the skellaton and you can carry him with you everywhere. Easier if you can't afford a horse and want to do it immediately.
Or as long as you don't mind using exploits, you can use the Resto potion exploit to create a potion with a value that is so high that it becomes negative. Then sell it to the Kajiit in Dawnstar. This gives that cat an insane amount of on-hand gold. Then walk over to the front of the dawnstar mine and grab his gold out of his merchant chest. You can do this more than once if you want but really doing it once should net you at least 100 Million (I think I got over 800 million when I did it but I can't remember for sure at the moment.) Also note that you might have to first grab all of his items first and then recheck the merchant chest to get the gold. This is pretty much the quickest way I've ever seen to get stupid rich in skyrim with very little effort.
Instead of waiting, you can quicksave, hit the shop keeper and quick reload, it resets the inventory.

Or if you have the Dragonborn dlc find an east empire company pendant then go down to the Ratways in Riften with a follower just before you enter the Ragged Flagon tell the follower to wait drop the pendant order your follower to pick it up enter the Ragged Flagon and then leave through the same door you entered and go back up to where you dropped the pendant and there will be another one then grab the one in your followers inventory and drop both of them and order your follower to pick them up go into the ragged flagon and back out like you did earlier and there will be 4 pendants in all this time do this as much as you want then sell them to Fethis Alor in Raven Rock I got 100,000 gold in maybe 20 minutes
Side notes: You can't drop the pendants in stacks they have to be individually
You need 200 pendants for 100,000 gold
You can find an east empire pendant in Brodir Grove just Northeast of Raven Rock
My favorite way of making infinite money is with the amulet that you get in the quest "Blood on the Ice" in Wind helm where with the lowest level speech you can sell the amulet pickpocket him (this is amazing for increasing pickpocket because it is easy to steal and is so valuable that it increases your pickpocket level each time you steal it all the way to 100) and then resell it to him.
Personally I just use a plater to clip in the side of the companions building (The easiest wall to clip through in the game by the way, at least a 90% success rate) and go under the skyforge, loot money from the chest, which without any points in speech will have 1100 gold.
jump and use the forge to get out, save. attack him. load. ask what he has to sell. back out. do the platter clip again and repeat it all over again.
If you make it so he is rich, you could easily get half a million gold within an hour.

If you play on a Nintendo switch I found a little hack you can do what you have to do is press the Y and the A button at the same time and then it just goes by real fast.
The skeleton is gone after the first time for me I've waited 24 hours like 3 times.
Tip for waiting (Xbox 360): When you hit A to wait also hit the home button and it will freeze for a second then the menu will show up and you'll hear fast ticking then when the ticking is done you get done waiting like 10x faster. You're welcome (;

I can CONFIRM THAT THIS WORKS WITH SKYRIM VR!! lmao just did it out of curiosity. I put over 1000 books in my safe in Lakeview manor. just in case I need more money. 1500 books is around 38000 gold coins just to let you guys know, this is without speech leveling. I'm only level 15 or so.
I only Need that much to buy stuff for the house like I said earlier. it beats dragon hunting that's for sure.

This will only feasibly make 107,500 gold per hour max at it's most efficient rate. waiting the 24 hours adds around half a minute. Furthermore travel time to the skeleton, defeating the enemies and trading rounded up adds a further 3 minutes if we round up an estimate. This is splitting hairs but you'd spend a total (again rounded up further) 10 minutes per trip earning 10750 gold each trip. this brings the total to 64,500 gold per hour. this is the slowest rate if you focus on this.
It's much faster to just do the inventory glitch where you sell the trader's own inventory to them, take all their gold then quicksave (save works too, just be fast), hit them then quickload (again, load works too, just be fast) to reset their inventory and gold. the speed varies based on the value of the items they sell but selling a ~200 gold item in their inventory until they're drained will net you 10,750 gold between 1-3 minutes depending on how fast you can hit sell. then 10 seconds to reset them. 190 seconds for the process which you can do 18 times in an hour.
That's 18 x 10750 = 193,500 gold per hour. And added bonus is that selling to the trader so much will also rapidly increase your speech skill. I got mine to 90 at the Riverwood trader less than 15 mins into the game.
EDIT: I forgot to mention this but quickloading takes 10 seconds but regular loading will take you to the loading screen which increases the time to 40 seconds. So the slowest time would be 220 secs which can be done 16 times. 16 x 10750 = 172,000 gold. This video is a little clickbaity as TheLeuzR doesn't include travel times, fighting enemies or trading times. That said using this method will probably get the average player 70,000+ gold per hour

For anyone who wants to know, the glitch is down by clicking and holding on your name in the inventory, dragging to trader's name then hitting E (or whatever your sell key is). You will lose 1 item from your inventory though. Only the item that's highlighted.

No!!!!! Get 2 goldbars, go to weiterun, search a open spot near the entrance. Get a companion who can pick ups things, drop the 2 Goldbars (EVER ONLY 1 PIECE) and let them pick them up. THEY HAVE TO WAIT ON SPOT! Go out Whiterun and immediately in again. Then pick up the gold bars on the floor, talk to your companion, and take the goldbars out of their inventory, so you got from 2 goldbars to 3-4. do this Tim you get 1000. go to blacksmith and craft gold rings. Till you get to level 100. then you can sell those in a store and get ADDITIONALY 75.000 septime!! If you do it til legendary 5 you get 375.000 septime! One time lvl 100 leveling takes about 1 hour
(Edit: You will get over 100.000 Septimen because you craft 2 rings per 1 time crafting) and it takes about 45 Minuten because I made a times while doing it!

If you're into exploits ... just do the Dawnstar Kajhiit one and remember to use each item to build up speech, enchant, smithing and alchemy as you go.
By the time you can make a stupid price option - you can sell one bottle to any merchant for all they have.
This really helped and it works on the remaster! I was having trouble getting money to build my house until this came along!
I tried to do it 2 times but it disappeared
so I just tried this in special edition and it does work, I grabbed around 4-500 books but when I went back there then the skeletons disappeared so you can only do this once from my experience. You have one opportunity to load your pockets with as much as you can and that’s it. I haven’t gone back to check the second time but last time the skeletons despawned so I had to reload a save to get as many books as possible. I only made around 10-15 thousand gold from it so it’s really not that great.
edit: check the location after 3-4 in game days to see if the skeleton respawns, you might be able to do it again
You can make tons of gold by just enchanting items and selling them or making really expensive potions and selling them. Make the most expensive potions you can and then duplicate them and sell them, you can do it indefinitely and make tons of gold, but gold really isn’t much of a problem in this game, I have over $100k. This doesn’t really level your speech much either. When I was leveling smithing I made around 300 gold rings which isn’t the fastest way to level smithing (making bows is better) but I pretty much have an infinite supply of cash by enchanting those and selling them.

You can get horses in rifton for free if you fight and beat the owner of the rifton stables you can take the horses for free but when you dismount they go home so keep an eye on it!

Because there's some difference between glitching and using an hour to get 120 gold, and cheating and using 4 minutes to find out how to do it 2 minutes of finally deciding to write the command down and 1 minute to use it which is: 4+2+1=7,000

Instead of making him rich, just sell him everything you can, quick save then hit him and reload the save. That resets his inventory, plus all his gold, it's also a good way, if you have the gold, to keep buying the same product from one person over and over again if you're farming.

Dragons can't even hurt me :) I did the fortify Restoration Enchanting thing where you put cost 25% less on Helmet Armor Ring Necklace. Then I cast Greater Ward.
If you trade for all his gold, pop a quick save, hit the vendor and reload the quick save. Refreshes his and most vendor’s inventory

Obtain an Amulet of Mara, get married to your spouse of choice, let her/him open up a shop at home and keep asking your spouse if the store has made any money. Then just wait a bit (I am unsure how long the store takes to respawn though) and ask her again. If you don't mind exploiting try waiting 30 days or some large amount of time and you will get tons of free cash without venturing into a single dungeon or selling any of your precious, hard-earned loot! And you will be rich in no time!! :)

A more reliable way to make money would be making fortifying potions. There's this glitch that allows fortification potions to get up to crazy numbers like 90000%+ and you can sell each of those potions for virtually all the gold that particular merchant has.
Player.additem f (amount of gold you want)
If you gonna take out the fun by using exploit, might as well cheat and save yourself some time.
