    First and foremost, prioritise high-quality water as your daily beverage. Personally, I start my mornings with a generous 750ml glass of water infused with a whole lemon and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. This kickstart to your morning, will kickstart your kidneys. You need your kidneys filtering properly to stay healthy.
    I also want to encourage you not to drink and eat at the same time. Your stomach acids need to be strong to digest food properly. What we're finding nowadays is that many people are taking antacids because they feel like they have too much acid. Research, however, shows that in 90% of those cases, people don't have enough stomach acid. If your stomach doesn’t have enough acid, your body struggles to digest food properly. Not having enough acid may cause your food to ferment in your stomach. This may mimic the feeling of heartburn.
    If you are suffering from what you think is too much stomach acid, I recommend: For a period of time, have a shot of apple cider vinegar in as little water as possible before you start eating. I can guarantee you that in most cases that will resolve your heartburn, because that is giving your body the stomach acid it needs to assist with digestion.
