Confessions & Sticky are lavish, pure pop brilliance. it's hard to pick a favorite tour from her because each one is just so difference. whataver she does, she does it with heart and purpose and awareness. everything is just top-notch. that's why people love her and that is why i love her.

i've been watching bits and piece of each tour here these past few weeks. it's amazing how you can actually tell which performance is from which tour (aside from the video title) from the costumes, song arrangement and overall themes. you don't see that with other artists, not even michael jackson's. each of madonna's tours are unique, with a specific theme, and that makes her such a special entertainer and consummate artist. i miss her older tours where she danced more. unparalleled energy...
Oh, I am certain that Madonna will revisit the "dark era". I love wehn Madonna goes dark because NO oTHER pop star goes dark and hypnotic like the Madonna of this period. I prefer her darker songs "Sanctuary", "Live To Tell", "Erotica", "Frozen", "Bedtime Story", "Like it or Not"...These are the best songs Madonna has ever recorded.
I was at this show and you can actually see me at one point during the filming, well kinda, omg I went crazy when she started to come out, I was 22 and I'd been waiting to see her since I was 5 when Lucky Star came out, best birthday gift ever, had the whole VIP thing too, it was perfect
Not many can open a big tour with a ballad! Even though its not her best tour. She still pulled it off! At least in 2001 before all the over-the-top performances nowadays, she still made it epic.
Amazing opening..love it when the whole stage lighting lifts up like a space ship...and when Madonna comes out...well what more can you say...Fuckin brilliant !!

I saw this tour in New Jersey cause NYC sold out all three of her shows. That was before she had eight shows in the NYC area. I was a bit disappointed cause she didn't play alot of her oldies. But after seeing Sticky and Sweet, I appreciate this tour more. She sounds better hear and her presentation and props are great. Now all we get are huge screen savers with other artists plastered on them during Madonna's songs. I hope she goes back to this style in the future.
I agree this tour was just okay! Sweet and Sticky was a little better, it had more energy! Some friends and I went to this show 3 times! By the third time we fell asleep and were bored in some areas. I wished I just bought one pair of tickets! However I went to Sticky and Sweet twice and was entertained all the way through both shows. But nonetheless, RIT was way better than both! She did songs I never thought she'd do again! Love Madge!
I agree, this tour was awful when it aired on HBO. I didn't get into this song until I bought GHV2 and now I love it and REALLY understands this song. This tour had it's highlights during certain performances though.
I think it's a bit funny how from this tour all the way to the Sticky and Sweet tour we can see just how much technology has changed the concert going experience. If you look out at this audience it's all dark, but if you look at the Sticky and Sweet tour, the audience is alit with digital cameras.
this tour was better than the sticky tour because I think she sang live all the songs... and I admit the beginning was not the best voice but her voice was getting better in the show specially with holiday...
Ray of Light is not an underrated album. She won her first Grammy from it. (Not that I give a shit about a grammy) Also, Ray of Light changed what people thought she was capable of as an artist, which won her more fans and gave her more credibility in the dance/rave culture. Though I do respect Madonna and what she's done, I believe there are other female artists that have achieved a deeper sense of the true meaning of art, which is more than I can say about Madonna since Ray of Light.

Grace Jones, Courtney Love, Bjork, Poly Styrene, Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna, and there's a new artist named Azealia Banks just to name a few. Bear in mind, I'm not comparing fame or one's interpretation of versatility in different genre's, I'm specifically referring to the depth of Madonna 's musically creative capability in contrast to other female artists. I love Madonna's art of fame and her performances, but her music is not as creative, in my opinion, as others.
