Madonna would have made a pretty darn good country artist.. Not that her voice is country, but the few country songs she has are pretty darn amazing. This one, and "Dont Tell Me", and now her new one, Devils Prey. This is what keeps me coming back to Madonna after 30 years..
+Mark Copfer I wouldn't call those country, but more folk-inspired. When she releases songs like this, her voice has that sultry Karen Carpenter feel.

We have to accept that she is older and a mother of four. In the earlier, she was at underground clubs, being inspired by the up and coming, finding new talent to produce her records. She was always ahead of the times. Today, she is with the times having to rely on producers that everyone else is using.

I didn't see her singing this kind of songs.. from the confession tour she was only singing and dancing, after that sticky and sweet tour was more or less the same but I see in the drowned world tour, she was singing live all the songs, MDNA I think she was doing playback in that tour, the same in rebel heart and celebration tour was only playback, there few moments that she was singing live.

Estimado Rock1979 es que Clampton, Di Meola y de Lucia no saltan ni bailan porque no lo saben hacer por lo tanto lo harian muy mal con el consiguiente papelón que eso implicaría, pero esta Madonna a duras penas puede hacer algo bien y de yapa sale haciendo algo que hace muy mal y que es ejecutar un instrumento delante del público, pero si es que tiene más cara que espalda. Yes. She has been taking guitar lessons for about 14 years now with her guitarist, the great Monte Pittman, who no doubt is also playing here. But Madonna certainly plays guitar and although clearly no virtuoso she always does an exemplary job. Google her live performance of Mother and Father with Monte on some American TV show. And I think it's a lovely song too...
