Always nice to have a good Police officer to run into. Cause we all know there are some out there that are all high and mighty. And that SLG pipe sounds nice! I rode with him not long ago. He's a down to earth guy.
"I get that a lot of guys don't want to trailer a few hundred meters" ....Your frigging right... so i honestly don't see ANY ISSUES with what you guys are doing or even riding down the shoulder of the roads when you have paid $15,000 plus into the local economy by purchasing the ATV's (plus government taxes) Paying for registration, paying for insurance, paying for gas, paying for parts etc... Meanwhile someone on a unregistered, unlicensed, un-insured bicycle can do exactly what you did without recourse.. Man... this is a nerve topic for me.. Nice cop or not.. it's asinine to waist public taxpayers money for police to waist your guy's time along with his over something so trivial.
Really makes me wonder where you ride, cause I’m from Ontario also and see a bunch of bikes and sledz on the trail from Cobourg Ontario all the way to Algonquin park
manitoba has a great snowpass system with great trails and you ride legal you usually do not have any trouble lot of times at check points you just pull out your driver licence and registration and your snow pass is on you plate sometimes they just check your plate number and if your legal they wave you on your way !
Can you explain to me how Canada regulates allowing you to drive off-road? hehe i have absolutely no idea ... hehe :D maybe i'm too dumb. Cheers from Germany
@@TheFourth1 for me in New Brunswick Canada you have to have plates and tags and a registerion and for atvs and sxs you need insurance .no insurance needed with a dirt bike only reggy and plates and tags. and to drive on the government trails there's a sticker called trail pass you put on your machine any offroad vehicle needs it

Cool Cop for sure, but in general they have been hitting that corner hard. Lots more guys got ATV's around my street so a lot more traffic on that little stretch of 6. We have to find a way boys!!!
Thats how the police should handle all simple stops. It was like that where I grew up in Ontario. Living in NS, it seems like they just want to collect fines from you. $400+ per infraction on an ATV. FYI, Ontario and NS associations penned a deal where the passes are good in either province, $50 here for the whole maritime as we have the same deals with PEI and NB
I think the officer was being pretty fair. Just doing his job. Good job on the ATV riders for stopping and having a chat with the cop. They could of taking off on the cop which paints a bad picture for the next ATV rider the cop stops.
Good cop doing his job, appreciate him. Whenever I get stopped, I shut my machine down right away and take my helmet off to talk respectable. Usually goes well.
