I'm not going to lie. I'm glad. This channel was starting to seem limited because it was competition, build up to competition, results of competition, aftermath of competition and the buzz was waning. Now this frees up room to talk about music, music news, music happenings, etc and that's more fun.
It felt that way on this side too

I'm personally hoping for more video game vs classical games, those are very emjoyable videos
Honestly, as someone not interested in the competitions at all, I had completely stopped watching the channel because of it. So now that I've seen this, while I can't promise I'm going back to watching it regularly (it's hard to undo what's already been done), but I won't actively avoid it anymore and will almost certainly watch at least some stuff.

the emotional roller coaster i just went on over the span of 30 seconds XDDD. I just discovered this channel and as an amateur composer with a lot to learn I really liked watching the composition competitions. I'm glad they aren't over.

I thought Ryan will say something like ai is taking over anyway so there is no more point in hosting competitions.
They had us in the first half not gonna lie. But fr I'm glad the competitions are still being a thing. I have participated in every single competition, haven't had a finalist yet. However I've seen my skills and music grow better with each coming competition and it has been giving me the motivation to create music as well! so this is a really pleasant surprise and thank you!
This is the second time I've gotten a glitch where instead of being an ad, the ad shows up as the actual video instead.
But because of all the clickbait comments, I actually wasn't sure if that was just the video 😭

I liked the idea of the competitions in theory, but inevitably I found they tended to reward a certain mainstream musical style. I'm more interested in the tips on melody and structure writing which I might apply in more unorthodox contexts.
