I agree with this and companies will not be fair with you I got a top talent certificate in my company, for which I was supposed to get 10% hike, I asked my manager for more hike since I was performing well and even worked on other projects parallelly, he arranged a discussion with senior partner, where he tried to give me an additional 4% I asked for more then he said take it or leave what I am giving is more. The situation now I have resigned and I want to tell people that always think before you approach the management which I never thought I would be in this situation just ask yourselves are ready to move out if this doesn't go in your way I am happy I took a challenge and completed a few certifications ❤
People are not getting salary hike and the reason given is- 1. low performance this cycle (not considered last cycle) LOL 2. Less in office presence 3. Salary reached the max value in bucket for the role. Indirectly it’s an indication to employee to resign.

10% but I know My salary is Slightly higher than Others in my project
4% this year from hdfc bank
4% for 50LPA is 2 Lakh. - not bad.
4% for 5 LPA is 20K - very bad - not enough even for basic needs.

How do I get to know that my salary is more than my colleague, that's why I am not getting good hike
90% reason is number 2. Poor band distribution curve fitting etc.

What to do sir if it’s company policy to give 5% increment every year from too to bottom staff .. irrespective of good or bad year
