I also crochet and I find I don’t like working with the chenille yarn… So instead I use 2 strands of regular acrylic yarn together to make chunky yarn 🧶🧶
I've never used chenille yarn. Can I ask why you don't like working with it? I don't want to buy it and not use it. :)
@@jeanettecastle7916 Most chenille yarns like parfait chunky, parfait XL, sweet snuggles and lite, shed and snap very easily in my opinion. I personally use bernat blanket yarn for my amigurumi. I have had it snap on my but very rarely. Chenille is also hard to sew with six eit sheds and breaks. A lot of people say to burn the end so it doesn't shed but I don't see how that will help in certain situations. I bought parfait yarn cause everyone praised it and I absolutely hate it. I will use that I have but I don't think I will ever buy it again.
Chenille yarn is still really beautiful to work with. Even just the sensory experience. It's very soft and easy on the hands. It's not great to sew with but that's why no sew projects with this yarn type is perfect.
How do you decide at what price to sell your items? Between all the time & materials, how do you balance with what people are actually willing to pay, and still make a profit? Tyia!

You & your mom are so talented. Do you buy your eyes in bulk? They tend to add up in costs. I made several baby yodas, on the medium to large size & the eyes were larger

Which yarn/hook do you use for most of these plushies please? I am new and I have only used Bernat. Thanks.
Typically you look at the yarn label to see what size they recommend, then go down 1 to 2 sizes depending on your personal tension to prevent holes. Plushies need to have tighter stitches so the stuffing doesn't poke out. Hope that helps.

Love all those cute patterns especially the bunny and cats! I also love you're going to a UFO festival, that's awesome! Tho just a heads up, bunnies are not rodents (sorry for nerding out lol 😅) they are more like a vegetarian cat. They behave very different as well, the only common thing they have is they gotta exercise their teeth and make tunnels in the wild (bunnies don't need that as a pet). Rodents have different, yellow teeth and no/little fur on their paws. They also tunnel constantly. Bunnies will love you like a small dog/cat after you bond with them.

Girl, I love rodents and pigs too. I've had two rat pets in the past and they also make really nice pets. They're very affectionate and smart. I have crocheted any yet, but I think it's time for me to try.
