As a white English born Londoner I'm quite amazed and saddened to know I'm now an ethnic minority in my own city. I won't be voting Tory or Labour ever again.
I'm a white London born woman (lived here all my life) and I feel exactly the same. This country - and especially this city - has been sold to the highest bidder.

I'm non white and I too am shocked and horrified. My parents came to the UK in the 60s as a nurse and pharmacist. They were wanted at a time when migration per year was about 30,000. They assimilated and have always worked hard.
Today it is 1.3 million of legal migrants we're allowing to enter the UK legally plus 45,000 plus illegals by boat.. The UK allows just about anyone in and unchecked under the Tories.
London is getting more and more aggressive and far more dangerous day by not day. We've had immigration to our shores but to the excessive numbers we're encountering. The BBC and Guardian cover up these figures as the white middle class are mostly protected I'm their safer enclaves. Housing and space is running out quickly and it won't be long before the poor immigrants are moving into affluent areas of the London bubble.
I'm glad I wont be around to see the extinction of the UK but am sickened by the betrayal of the political elite for the loss of our culture. And hope that one day they will regret what they have done although I don't think they have any conscience .
The bottom line is, diversity actually does not work. We need to be, to some degree, the same culturally. Perhaps we do not need to be the same in color, or height, or even religion, but culturally, we need to be on the same page.
Even relatively small differences in cultures can create problems if those cultures are of sufficient size. The results are not necessarily war, but they can spur hate crimes and on occasion, riots.
There is a Massive Difference in the ideologies of some Religions and People from certain parts of the World.... Also Our Culture Values ect ect have evolved over Hundreds of Years so No Foreigner coming here can have the same Personal Traits, Culture, Values ect ect especially those coming from outside of our Neighboring Countries or Western Europe....

The majority of people in the UK have ignored and turned a blind eye to the ever increasing number of Foreigners who have entered the Country, especially in the last 20 years.

I agree this is all down to the politicians, we were not asked do you want to change our country from all white, a peaceful law abiding country into a multicultural country with constant violence and police victimising the victim. I went in TX Maxx the other day and a hijab woman who was coming out the door walked in my way, not looking where she was going. She then muttered something at me in urdu or whatever language. She had about 4 kids with her, one of whom was being chased by the security guard for trying to steal something. She wasn't bothered. Isn't diversity wonderful...

I was in London three years ago walking down one of the main streets! Walking towards me was a group of Muslim women Not one of them made an effort to let me through and forced me to walk around them like they were superior! This isn’t about race this is about good manners!

As far as London being often mistaken as the capital of UK......You couldn't pay me to visit. My last visit made me feel like I was in a foreign country, and in certain areas I was made to feel distinctly uncomfortable. This was some years ago now...and I'll never set foot in London again...

In 1998 when we were visiting relatives in Huddersfield, our house was broken into and completely trashed and possessions stolen.
One of our neighbours managed to contact us and let us know what happened (they heard the burglar alarm, no response from the Police).
The neighbours saw a few local 'innits' leaving the area like rats through a gap...
So yep, we have first hand experience on that score.

Furthermore, there was a collapse in people identifying as English, replaced by the vast majority of people in England describing themselves as 'British only' instead. This is very true. I travel everyday in the underground from North London to South London which is an hour's journey. I have not heard one person speak a word of English. Yet when I visited Spain, Italy or any other EU nations this is not the case. So very sad.

When living in London saw this coming years ago, wrote to my then MP who informed me that his constituents welcomed multi-culturism and had no problem with muslims (cos they're all moderate innit). It does disappoint me as a 4th generation New Zealander, as opposed to a 3rd generation, whose ancestors "my people" that come from England, Ireland and Scotland, that I can't emigrate to UK, whereas those who seem to hate their adopted country, and the Monarchy (my monarchy and head of state, my values, my history) were/are able to gain citizenship.
You can turn around those new stats by giving residence to those, like me, who share British values, history and love for the constituitional monarchy laws and culture.

I understood Farage to be voicing what all of us (whatever colour we are) already know: that immigration over the years has been too much too quickly uncontrolled and often illegal . The migrants mostly end up in the big cities and thus we have the statistics.

In 2015 I visited the UK for the first time. I arrived in London; the next day I booked a return flight to Sydney.
That was my experience in 2008. It must have been even worse in 2015. Imagine what it will be in 20 years time.
