When Hamas started all this in October they knew exactly how it would run. They knew Israel would react, they knew so many in the western world would then consider the Gazans the victims. In the case of Hamas and Iran . . . there is LITERAL AND CLEAR speech intended to incite violence AND likely to LEAD TO VIOLENCE (that has all been clearly shown now). Israel has a very powerful army and associated military resources and if it really wished to carry out genocide against Palestine it could do so in a heartbeat but clearly chooses not to. I'm thinking politics should be taught in universities alongside objective history.
As a foundation for good politics (more statesman like and less shortsighted and governed by power and greed) you need understand history and background and connection. So I would put strong emphasis on good history eduction before any politics. But basically I would agree with your point.

I've always loved Melanie Phillips and we need to see and hear from her more often. She seems to be able to convey meaning of complex issues in an easily assimilable way. Also, Jews were in what we now know as Israel 🇮🇱 about 2000 years before Mohammed, PBUH, lived.
