I absolutely support this and I know the amount of pain you guys are feeling , because as a girl who lived in Iraq and spent her childhood and teenage years there I understand how much it hurts .. one day when I was 11 years old someone bombed my school and I saw how kids where sinking in their blood and how I was scared that my best friends are dead or not and because of how bad the situation in my country is I had to leave it and travel.. I just hope that every country on this planet gets in peace and everyone feels safe ❤️ may god help us

Terrorists in your country don’t care about laws, just like criminals. Banning guns will not do anything, because criminals don’t care about them. It will make citizens harder to buy guns, which results thousands of criminals buying guns illegally and good citizens unable to buy them. Is that what you want?

This is just insane to me. I’m from Ohio and a year ago this girl (Delaney) followed me on her finsta and it’s just weird seeing her on tv and having gone through all this. I just saw her being a normal teen girl like me and it’s just crazy how everything has changed. I’ve thought of just sending her a message of support but I feel anything I have to say has been said before. The world is such a small place and a cause such as this has never felt so close to home to me before

    Intro: Child]
Think about the generations and say that we want to make it a better place for our children, and our children's children, so that they know it's a better world for them
And think, if they can make the world a better place...
    [Verse 1]
There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much brighter than tomorrow
    And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place you will feel there's no hurt or sorrow
    [Pre-Chorus 1]
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
    Make a little space
    Make a better place
    [Chorus]
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
    For you and for me
    And the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
    Make a better place
    For you and for me
    [Verse 2]
If you want to know why
There's a love that cannot lie
Love is strong, it only cares for joyful giving
If we try, we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear or dread, we stop existing and start living
    [Pre-Chorus 2]
    Then it feels that always
Love is enough for us growing
    So make a better world
    Make a better world
    [Chorus]
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
    For you and for me
    And the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
    Make a better place
    For you and for me
    [Bridge]
And the dream we were conceived in will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life?
    Would this earth?
    Crucify its soul?
    Though it's plain to see
    This world is heavenly
    Be God's glow
    [Verse 3]
    We could fly so high
    Let our spirits never die
In my heart, I feel you are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
    Together, we'll cry happy tears
See the nations turn their swords into ploughshares
    [Pre-Chorus 3]
    We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
    Make a little space
    To make a better place
    [Chorus]
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
    For you and for me
    And the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
    Make a better place
    For you and for me
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
    For you and for me
    And the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
    Make a better place
    For you and for me
    Heal the world
    Make it a better place
    For you and for me
    And the entire human race
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
    Make a better place
    For you and for me
    [Outro]
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
    There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
    You and for me
Heal the world we live in, save it for our children

I remember on February 14, 2018 my school, Millennium Collegiate Academy had released us students a couple minutes early. I had no idea what was going on at the time it was scary tbh because you didn't know what was going on until I went home that day....
A couple weeks later we we celebrated the 1st month anniversary for the parkland students at Douglas AND the very next day there was a code red it felt so ordinary like the parkland one until my classmates sat behind our teachers desk for about 30 minutes until we started to panic after sitting in the same place for an hour until told that an armed person was suspected on our school grounds. Luckly I was safe and so were my friends and the fact that every child has to go to school worrying that they won't come home is a nightmare, I don't know what my mom would've done without me coming home. I'm sorry that families gave to go through this.

I don't live there but some family does and I get scared every-time I hear about a shooting, from the place I live I send all my love and support to those kids... Also, all people that has experienced that ends up with PTSD, imagine a whole school filled with CHILDREN suffering from post traumatic stress disorder... I know how it feels cause the country I lived before had a lot of violence, shootings on the streets, on the bus... now every-time I see a motorcycle my heart stops and I wonder if they're going to show a gun... or when I hear a loud noise... that's not a good life, it's painful, it's like being in a constant horror movie without the ability of turning it off... Please support the march, twitte about it, talk about it, fight for our kids.

Yes, quit blaming all the wrong people! Not only did the FBI completely drop the ball beyond incompetency, but so did Sheriff Israel, his deputies, and the school police officer! As well as Obama with that ridiculous bill that encouraged them to not report crime so the schools could get more funds! And the principal for doing absolutely nothing!! And Joe Biden for introducing the bill to make schools gun free zones in the 1990's. How interesting that ALL these school mass shootings started after that in 1999! Coincidence? I think not!!
It never ceases to amaze me just how wilfully ignorant some people insist on staying!! There's absolutely no excuse in this day and age of the internet...except for extreme laziness and complacency! smh

I am pretty sure none of these kids have shot a gun and I am come from the Midwest where in the country it could take 15 minutes for a cop to help you. They live in cities and have only now left. Why don't they speak to people who have avoided being raped or killed by using a gun? This is typical leftist garbage. If they were smart they would see both sides, not ride a wave of anger to try and steal liberties from 99.9% that don't intend to harm anyone.

I am with the protesters tomorrow. Im with the students. Im with the parents, the teachers and the doctors and nurses who have had to see the results of gun slaughters up close. Im with them tomorrow...and everyday. Protest!!! Change!!! VOTE!!!!!! In this group of young people....born from the insanity of violence, a new generation of leaders. As was the 60s. ...a violent illegal war, Waged against rice farmers and those in poverty. America dropped more bombs on them than dropped during ALL of WW2...and America murdered 4 million South east Asians. WE marched to end it. As students. STUDENTS!!!!! By the millions we marched. From 1967 thru 1973 We marched. and finally after the blood bath of the Vietnam war.....the draft was ended. 1973, my draft year, was the last one. NOW, the students are the leaders again. SOME of the adults....are sick with an infection of violence from a gun culture born of lies, dreams, money, corruption and PROFITS. PROFITS over the safety and blood of students. Of 1st graders. That is how sick and twisted the gun culture has become. SICK and ILL. The guns themselves are the source of this sickness. And its time to stop it. It may take 7 years of protest as during the Vietnam war.....but change must be achieved. The gun culture is destroying our political system and destroying democracy itself. The students, will show the way and the rest of us need to be there to gain their victory.

What a waste of time for gun control. These kids are clueless when anyone can get a gun off the street or from across the border or from an illegal that is here illegally..., Or the dark web if they chose to use it for a crime or another mass gun shooting which will happen again regardless of gun control laws.
It starts at home with the parents or at the schools teaching this misguided generation about respecting their peers. Not bullying them.
Amazing how the left mobilized on this particular kids to push their agenda and mainly to get the youth out for the mid term elections to vote for soc is lost since minorities rarely show for a mid term elections. (Rather watch the Kardtrashians)
These kids are nothing more than pawns for the democratic/progressive party borderline commies. It's no wonder why there leader is a teenage girl who is still trying to figure out what bathroom to use at Target.

My school went on lockdown for 4 hours. I’m in the fourth grade. But the whole time I thought I love everyone in this school they’re basically my family and that disgusting shooter does not know that. I was scared my first thought was text my mother and tell her I’m sorry. Sorry for being so annoying and just sometimes disrespectful. But the next day everything changed. All classrooms doors stay locked even when you’re in them. And your on the worlds tightest bathroom schedule. But I found who made that threat. It was someone I was neighbors with and was my cousin and she went to jail. Now she is out of jail and doing much better. She didn’t even own an weapon. There wasn’t even a weapon in her house. She was just joking. So when you feel like your gonna die just think of everything you accomplished in your so far and how much you will conquer ahead. Don think of it as dying think of it as your whole life work put into a frame. Because if you live life worrying about what’s going to happen tomorrow you will forget all the accomplishments you made today.

You should be marching in front of the courts. They are the ones who let all the gun crime defendants out of jail early. We already have plenty gun laws on the books. They just need to be enforced tougher.

Something I just found out and thought I'd share: in 2015 the third leading cause of death for people age 15-24 is homicide and most of these are firearm related. I mean these are people that I would consider kids dying everyday because of inaction. So proud of these students and I hope this march does our world a little good.

    • @donotcare330
      @donotcare330 6 лет назад

Yeah and you know which firearm was responsible for these homicides? PISTOLS. Not your "scary" AR-15, which you can look at fbi.gov's website on homicide statistics. Go look where those crimes took place. It's in gangland USA. We have heavy laws on drugs in the U.S., yet did those stop the same gang members using firearms or selling drugs? Nope. They are criminals, they do NOT care about the laws. Yet they have hurt/killed more people than ALL mass shootings combined inside the US's history over the past 50+ years. Where's the REAL BLM on this one. To me it's gross that people ignore Low income area crime.

You know, I agree to end gun violence in the world and the thing is if I can’t own my gun I won’t be able to hunt and provide food for my family I also own it for self defense in my home only. These events are tragic and sad the man that had these weapons was out of his mind. People in this world who have had criminal history, mental illness, or anything like that should never own a firearm. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the victims of these terrible events!

Since the minimum age for buying a gun has been raised to 21 because they claim 18 year olds are responsible enough then the minimum age should be raised to 21!

My school had a lockdown the other day, and I know more than half the school was expecting to hear gunshots in the hallways. Our school is replacing lockdowns from here on out, but it's very sad that schools have to change, have to restrict themselves so we can stay safe. Even that won't be enough
