Not only a true rock'n'roller but true to his roots, he never, even in his darkest days sold out, he reverted to his roots, country music, the base of rock and roll, he slid back to his roots and re-emerged, once again, re-invigorated, to sing the greatest popular, [now here I must state my musical preferences, I am 71 years old, feel 15, I have lived through and loved Big Band music, Sinatra and Doris Day, a beautiful, innocent period in my life, but I have to declare that as popular music rock'n'roll will never ever be surpassed, I used to watch, before going out to the local [British] village or church hall dance, listening to second rate acts like Cliff Richards, Marty Wilde, performing American rip-offs, but the beat was there, I couldn't wait to go to the local pub, drink a few pints of Chester's ale because it was known as 'fighting ale' got to the Tudor ballroom in Chorley lancs, in my Teddy suit, and, sorry, the memories make me feel my age, youth is wasted on the young.
Now this is music. None of the so called artist today'll ever take Jerry's place, or last as long as he has.
55 years ago, would we imagine a 73 years old man playing rock'n roll like that? Incredible!
To be in that age, he still play fast, clean and sings like a god!
Somehow, Jerry Lee will be playing at new years 2100. Keep on rockin' Jerry.
Love to Love that sound... Jerry Lee is the King of the Rock N Roll Piano. The Killer still sounds great at 78.
