Hi Bad Boy, Yes, it is in Elite AOB IBA bouts; each country has its own ruling at its nationals.

I can't believe tape is allowed in amateur boxing now. Well, it has been since John Brown of Ringside lobbied successfully for it .

Why shouldn't it be? It's just tape, I train everyday with tape and gauze and if I were to compete I would like to use what I am comfortable with.

Thanks for your comments, sorry for the delay in responding actually the wrist is far shorter and even with that padding the knuckles wouldn't fit in an Amatuer/Athletic International boxing glove
