TRIP REPORT | American Airlines - 767 300 - New York (JFK) to Miami (MIA) | First Class

On Friday, August 10th, I flew to Sacramento, CA through Miami, Dallas, & Los Angeles. I think its safe to say that this was probably the best flight on that trip, as the next flight was delayed 6 hours, forcing me to stay the night in Dallas and rebook my flights with no refund or booking help from AA.
I don't really know what happened to American Airlines. Ever since their merger with US Airways they've shrunk seats, slashed crew unions, and have a tendency of delaying flights for hours.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the video!

I think the reason those guys bumped fists is because they were probably standby and got first class. I am assuming this because they got different row seats, and before boarding they called 2 names to the podium. I am a standby so I can relate. Amazing trip report as always, love your channel!

Reminds me of the A300 I Flown on BDL SJU back in like 2003 to St Maarten. I think we're also on an ATR-72 To SXM as well.
overall a very uneventful flight except for the gate mess....767 is a nice size, wide enought to offer twin isle access ...food looked good....no ice cream with the cookie :(.........thanks for the ride-along Quintin

Good'ole 757. Can't wait to be in Newport News to visit friends and family next month. Never fly into PHF Intl it is way too expensive these days.
Great job with these videos. a bit of narration would be nice as well. I have flown 4 Amercian flights this past year. The economy seats have all been very, very tight and uncomfortable. I did notice a bit more legroom on an American A330 from Munich to Philadelphia. I'm not sure why those seats had more room than the others.
Is that really First Class? No IFE? How come? You showed us the "Media" remote control...what was that for? Man, you should travel the world and try some of the greatest Asian Airlines like Singapore, Emirates, or Garuda. They have a very nice First Class cabin and tasty food for sure. I was on that plane 2 months ago to LAS seats are small but very nice inside for something so old. No IFEs and wifi didn't work either

Good idea to fly from JFK on widebody in F instead of from La Guardia on a 737 to Miami. La Guardia is also a slum airport. We saw a mouse a few weeks ago. Interesting to compare your flight with American economy with tight seats and pretzels. However the price difference is big. I thought American were strict about filming. Watch the sodium in that tomato juice. In economy on AA one can hardly move in the toilet they are so tiny! At least in Business you can turn. Pretty impressive! Wow!!!

Silly question, do they let you keep the blankets? A couple years ago I flew in Delta One and they let my keep the blanket. Just wonder if American does the same.

Nice video! But .. what about AA! We are in 2019 and still select interiors and / or aircrafts without entertainment systems in the front seat! Most of the competing companies have even upgraded larger Display systems, available USB ports. Starting from the economy class! And the minimum that can be expected as a quality standard on flights from 4-8-11 hrs.
I hate American Airlines's Boeing 767-300. They're too old for the daily flight MVD-MIA. Always delayed due to "technical issues" by 20 hours or more, no IFE. I just prefer to take LATAM's brand new 787 or A350.
Hope they replace the 767 at least on Long-Haul soon

Yo también he volado varías veces de MVD a MIA para luego volar a JFK y el 95% de las veces, en los dos vuelos no había IFE! Ahora lo hago con Avianca por Bogotá. American era buenísimo y no se porque se ha vuelto una mierda.
They are replacing them with the 787s starting next year
On the downside, they'll be around till 2021. If they had installed IFE on the ones they still heavily use on European routes, then maybe they wouldn't be as bad, but it's of the worse AA products out there.

Please be aware that the hot napkins are not sanitary and using them to wipe your eyes can give you conjunctivitis,(pink eye). So many people do this and I want to scream out, "no,no,no!" LOL! It's just a pet peeve of mine! Happy Travels!

LOL Delta sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Old 30 year planes; 2nd hand bought from China. No tea, tech delays etc. Jet Blue I agree is great though they will reduce legroom. At least Southwest offer an extra 1" in legroom and better snacks than AA / UA.
True! I recently flew Delta and had a 1hr 30 delay. but I'd still rather fly Delta then United or American.
DannyMC I agree with United but American is a good airline and way better then Alaska and is better seats and service on international routes then delta, tho they are retro fitting their planes, Delta is best tho
I respect your opinion, but maybe it's just my luck, but every time I've flown with American, I've gotten delays... I flew with Alaska about a month ago, and I had so much legroom, but with American, I didn't have that much legroom, maybe it was just the type of plane I was on. :)

This is going to sound unfair and that I’m picking on QFS but it is really directed at all of the trip report channels. Many of us don’t have miles or means for first class and the last thing I want to do is see you livin it up in first while I get to stuff myself in economy. I see more and more reviews showing off and less of what I want to see which is what it is going to be like for me. Take it as constructive criticism.

AA1142 MÍA/JFK 767-300ER Seat 2J - I watched 2 Flight Attendants have an altercation in the F Class galley, prior to take off. I have never seen unprofessional behavior like this before. I spoke w/ the purser who was arguing with a new F/A who is still on probation. He refuses to write anyone up, and the new hire is screaming at the top of her lungs at him. “Stop bothering me, I’m doing my job”. The supervisor does not know how to reprimand a disrespectful subordinate and the probationary F/A should be fired.

Is Terminal 8 for oneworld airlines? Noticed the airlines you listed upon entering all belong to that alliance--$15 for pizza slices and bottled water? You're paying the price for being a captive audience,not like you can exit and buy from somebody else down the street! I'm sure the Port Authority charges these vendors steep rent. Interesting how you zoomed in on those two black guys giving each other a fist bump--you surprised me with the number of flights that AA has going from JFK,just about 45/day? That seems awfully low since JFK is a hub for Jetblue,DL and AA--leafing through American Way magazine,I hope you're getting future travel ideas in looking at the route map!
T8 is mainly American and a couple of other oneworld airlines but British airways for example fly from Terminal 7
