The Complete Guide to Affiliate Marketing (NEW Strategies for Blogs)

  • Опубликовано: 14 авг 2024
  • This is the complete beginners tutorial for affiliate marketing. Most of these tutorials on the web focus on how to create affiliate links and put them on your site. But that's where they leave you. We find that most bloggers, once they get that all figured out, still struggle to actually get traffic to their content, and clicks on their links. So in this video, I introduce new strategies to attract more traffic, get more clicks, and earn more affiliate income.
    I mentioned Skimlinks in the video as a great way to get access to affiliate programs that won't yet accept your site. Here's a link: incomeschool.c...
    Have a question or idea for a video? Or maybe you want your site or a specific article reviewed. Let me know here: forms.office.c...
    Check out Project 24: incomeschool.c...
    Project 24 is our membership program that teaches you how to work toward replacing your current income with income from websites and RUclips channels in 24 months.

    Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark “Project 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. This is something that I've learned the hard way. I created a site with 35 review articles directly targeting low competition "best x for y" like keywords. Even though there was not a lot of competition in this niche, my site failed and it gets affected by all the google updates. It's better to bring traffic first and then think about affiliate marketing at a later stage.

    Also worth checking is to see whether the affiliate earnings stop once the * days cookie’s lifespan has expired or if affiliates also earn from all future sales made (from customers they’ve already referred in the past). Over time, the latter would generate a truly passive income, even when your sites’ traffic would drop to zero.

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  2 года назад

      Good point. Recurring affiliate commissions are amazing. They do tend to decline over time if you’re not referring new people but it is really awesome.

      I agree that submitting again is a good idea. But I also think it's worth it to take a hard look at the content to determine if it really is high quality or not. The way a lot of people write blog posts (including many professional freelancers) contains more fluff and anecdotes than information. That kind of content just isn't performing as well today as it once did. If it doesn't meet the needs of the reader, then it's not high quality.

      No. Ezoic serves a high percentage of their ads from Google’s ad exchange so Google gets their ads revenue either way.

      Monetize it with ads, interlink to other relevant content on your site, see if there are other creative ways to include helpful and convenient affiliate links in at least some of the posts.
      This is a great reason to focus on “content first”. If the content is valuable independent of whether or not there’s an affiliate program then this is never an issue.

      Google says they often don’t even index content that doesn’t have original value. So it is important for every post that you want to rank on Google.
      The key is to get to know your niche well enough that you can draw your own conclusions, not just copy other peoples conclusions using different words. Unfortunately, most bloggers do just that.

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  2 года назад +4

      That’s just passive affiliate Income which isn’t our business’s first or even second highest earning income stream. Shoot, it’s probably not even the third.
      It’s also not bad considering we sold all our established blogs almost 2 years ago and started over from scratch. If you sold your book of clients could you build up 150k per year in residuals within 3 years?
      Most people would be thrilled to earn $500,000 from one of their many income streams in just 3 years.
      I don’t blame you, by the way, but I’ve noticed several times that whenever we share a number on RUclips some people read WAY more into it than it actually means… Never once did I imply that $500,000 was our total revenue.
