    I was a surrogate of twins and I am in the process of screening to do it again.
    This right here is why I do it 🥹🥹🥹 I want to help mamas get their end goal when they realize there isn’t any other option left to fulfill their dream.
    My husband and I went through male factor infertility and the idea of possibly not having children was killer. We were fortunate enough to be miraculously blessed twice and doctors didn’t understand how but GOD 🙌🏾🙌🏾 it was an honor to pay that forward by helping another couple and they are amazing parents now, the twins are 4 years old 🥰🥰🥰

      @@jordanbronner3752 lol that would’ve been nice 😂😂 but no, $50k - 40 for the surrogacy / 5 for carrying twins / 5 because I had to have a c-section with one. They also covered my lost wages from work because I had to be on bed rest most of it amongst other things. But that’s a common misconception regarding surrogacy, that we get paid a ton of money. The money of course helps your own family, but it isn’t the driving factor for why women like me become surrogates. It requires a lot of time, energy, and bodily sacrifice that in my opinion, the compensation doesn’t even BEGIN to cover. So money shouldn’t be the motivation for anyone looking to do this. Plus you go through months of matching, psych evals, medical evals, etc before you even start getting paid after you find a family to match with.

    I can honestly say, there is no "celebrity" that I prayed for more than Adrienne Bailon Houghton over the last four years. She has always had a beautiful spirit that I knew would make her a wonderful mother some day. And as I watched her on *The Real* daily and saw her struggles, I started praying for her and Israel to be blessed with biological children. And my prayers doubled up when Jeannie Mai Jenkins announced her pregnancy because I knew Adrienne was so happy for her and yet it had to hurt a bit that she was still waiting for her own blessing. It's all in God's Time. And that time is *EVER* clear now. So much love for you!!! Que Dios bendiga siempre a su familia.🥰

    Another reminder why we should stop asking women "when are you having a baby". It's such a personal pressuring question that could have struggles, pain, medication, let downs behind it, like you NEVER know what a couple could be going through to have a baby. Being asked that question as soon as I got married made me feel physically ill, because it's so intrusive. I was going through some painful infertility problems at first and people think they're entitled to getting the timeline of when you're having kids😭 .Like give us a chance! People are so focused on what you're doing next, and they could care less on how you're getting through day by day.

      You are absolutely correct. My BFF of 31 years has been married for 19 years and went through the same horrific struggle and had a few miscarriages and was constantly under that pressure. After so many agonizing years..her and her husband found peace and healing power in their faith in God and dedicated themselves completely to themselves. They never were able to conceive but between their love for eachother and their love for God they got through all of it. Now they are constantly traveling and they love eachother unconditionally.

    • @itsmissangie_
      @itsmissangie_ 2 года назад +2

      It is an invasive question because each woman has their own struggles and it may not even be the woman could be the man. But either way it’s personal and also women should consider if possible having babies earlier most women I know are in their mid 30s or 40s trying to conceive. We all know it’s proven to be harder when your age is 35+.

      This is soooo true. My hubby & I got married really young (still married and still super young) and first thing someone in the family asked was about kids and he respectfully responded with “That’s no one business but her and I” and I felt so relieved he didn’t give a timeline because I was not there when he was asked. Not everyone wants to have kids as soon as they get married. We want to grow together get our education establish a life and travel BEFORE we bring another life into our lives.

    As someone who has struggled with infertility, I am so happy that she was so honest about her journey. I am tired of celebrities giving FALSE hope to women and possibly hurting their chances of having a family by making them think it's so easy to get pregnant after 40. For many, it's not and for many, it's too late by then. The most recent case being Hilary Swank who is pregnant with twins at 48. Glad that she's pregnant at that age but she was not honest about her journey and tried to fob it off saying that twins run in her husband's family which is why she's having twins. Well Hilary, twins run on the women's side so it wouldn't affect if you had twins or not. Also, she was not forthcoming if it was her own eggs or donor eggs. If she wanted to keep private about the situation, then it's better for her to be quiet about EVERYTHING and not just share tidbits making it seem like some miracle she got pregnant at 48 and is having twins. Statistically, that is nearly impossible unless she froze her eggs when she was younger or she used donor eggs. Anyhow. Happy and thankful that Adrienne Bailon was honest about her journey. If you're going to share it, be honest. If you're not going to be honest and forthcoming (so many celebrities), then just shut up. We don't care about your lies.

      Fraternal twins run on mother's side, identical run on both

    • @jazzenthuiagirl
      @jazzenthuiagirl 2 года назад

      @@Treemeadow Identical twins are random. They don't run in families. Fraternal twins run on the women's side because women ovulate. Hence...genetically, twins only 'run' on the women's side.... because identicals don't run on either side.

      I agree with you. All these celebrities having twins! Twins are not that common. Many of them if not almost all probably used in vitro to get twins. I wish they were more honest because they would help so many couples who are on the parenthood journey. But I'm Soooo happy for Adrienne and Ezra. They wanted this so bad and I know they will be beautiful parents. Ever is such an angel.

I have had 2 second trimester losses and 1 micro premie death after 23 days of life. It is so amazing to see your dream come true. No one knows this type of pain unless you experience the longing and agony first hand. My situation has not changed.
