Hi thank you for visiting my You Tube channel. This week's video is all about how I have hacked the Tilly and the Buttons Stevie pattern in to both a different type of top and a gathered skirt.
#TheHackOff is a project I join up with Adele from Button and Pip (visit her on You Tube and Instagram) every couple of months to create fun alternative design using some of our favourite patterns we already have in our collection.
I loved creating my project for #TheHackOff this time, so I hope you enjoy watching this video.
I got my top fabric from Coles Sewing Centre in Nottingham and the skirt fabric from Guthrie and Ghani.
Don't forget to subscribe to my channel to keep up to date with all of my latest content.
Until next time, happy sewing.

Thanks val pleased you liked my hack projects 🙂
Hi Becky, it's a beautiful hack! Lovely fabric, it's nice to see it in a drapey fabric. The skirts lovely too xx
Thanks pleased you like my hack 🤗 there are so many different things you could try with this pattern 🤗📷💕
Lovely job Becky! And you two girls are so cute together. I like the hack-offs you have been doing. Look forward the the next one
Thanks Jan 😊 pleased your enjoying the hack offs. The next hack video will probably be in Oct 💕
I like the dress on your right.

Love the hacks ladies
Thanks Julia 👍😊 pleased you like our hacks 💖
What a fantastic idea Becky for your hack. I’ve made a Stevie but not worn it as I feel it’s too big, so I’m going to revisit it and maybe wear it back to front 😻
Yey pleased you like my hack ideas. I think using a more floaty fabric works well with the stevie particularly if you wanted to wear the bow on the front 😊💕
Notes from the Sewing Room just tried it on back to front and it looks so much better. My fabric is quite stiff and just made the standard bow, but I still like it. Agree a floater fabric would look great with a longer tie. Thanks so much as I’d almost relegated mine to the scrap heap😹😻
So pleased to hear you like the top with the bow at the front 😊
Like I’ve said, LOVE your hack and I’m going to copy it. It will be perfect for work xx
Yey that would he great if you try my hack 💖👍 I love the fabric you used and your hack too 📷🎥💕
I really enjoy these hackoffs, a great idea, inspirational, and really fun to watch. Thanks to you both for posting.
Great job with both hacks girls 👌😊💝💝😘
Thanks Sally pleased you enjoyed the video 💖👍 and like our hacks
Loved your hacked Stevie! I made mine but it turned out huge and too short so I didn't make it again. Could you please explain how you did the v neck as I think it makes the dress/top look so much better and I'd like to make it again but use your hack x
Thank you 🙂 I turned the stevie top around so the original back was the front . I then extended the neck tie which works well in a softer floaty fabric. I used a lightweight crepe. I hope that helps 🙂💕
@@NotesfromtheSewingRoom Sorry to be a pain but I think I'm doing something wrong! I tried on my Stevie dress made a few months ago and the front with the ties just doesn't hang right around the neck. Did you do something different with yours because I have fabric flapping around!
So pretty! I need this pattern. Haha
Thanks hope you like the pattern if you try it 🙂👍
Great video guys 😉
Thank you 💕
Fantastic, looks like a different dress . Sorry, couldn't hear the name of the Nottingham fabric shop.
Thank you 🙂 I think it was The Craft Studio in Nottingham
