If people are coming to this video because the pollen filter has been changed and it now clicks when you turn it to cold (as very well explained in this video), you can fix it without dismantling the glove box. Pull off the trim cover. Lie on your back looking straight up under that far corner where the square actuator is. Loosen the two bolts holding the actuator on. It's a 8mm spanner and there is enough room. Don't remove the bolts, just loosen them until you can wiggle the black semicircular actuator cogs, from the white cog wheel. Switch ignition on so fans come on, turn the temperature to cold. The black cog will rotate (if the actuators working OK). Slide it back into place and tighten the bolts you loosened. The actuator/temperature control should now operate correctly without clicking. Thanks for the video.
Hello. I have the exact problem with the clicks. So i tried to fix it. I didnt think to try the method you just mentioned. So i actually pulled the ac engine all out and turned it to high temperature to reset the position. Screwed it back in but it still doesnt work properly. Do you think that if i try your method it will work ?
Update : i followed your advice . Its very simple actually. Just unscrew actuator. Let the little wheel go back to its original position (to low temperature) then start engine and set from ac button to low temperature. Screw back actuator and everything is allright. Thank you sir for your kind advice!
Very good but any chance someone could do a video for the post 2014 Qashqai? As far as I can tell it’s all quite similar to access the filter, with partial glovebox dismantling needed on the RHD car, but the filter has to be rotated 90 degrees so the long side is vertical and the hard plastic edges are horizontal. In this orientation it’s even harder to squeeze the filter to get it through the hole. I tried it the way round shown in this video but it rattles around and does not fill the space.
Thank you helpt me out a lot

That is a great video and help me solve the cold air on passenger side after pollen filter change. Thanks !!
DON'T TAKE THE HEATER OFF..... SIMPLY UNCLIP THE WIRE FROM THE BACK OF THE HEATER
What a ball ache just to change a filter🙄
Jeez……couldn’t they make it any harder ? I’ll let the garage do it.
