The Great Emu war was very real, and they are now officially our overlords in Australia, thankfully they are benevolent leaders and there is no way that I feel compelled to send this message while an Emu is currently standing right behind me right now.

Not gonna lie, seeing the Icy hate comments hurt me pretty badly. I started watching IGP and Icy and they still never fail to make me laugh with their dual shrill screams for horror games to this day. I feel like alot of those awful comments should have been kept in their own heads and not left in the open on the user's video.

As an Aussie I think the most hilarious thing about the Emu war was that we lost not once but twice. Aussies are still scared of these giant chickens that we know not to mess with them.

IGP, I looked it up too about the Great Emu War, and yes it's actually real.
Here: The Emu War, also known as the Great Emu War, was a nuisance wildlife management military operation undertaken in Australia over the later part of 1932 to address public concern over the number of emus said to be destroying crops in the Campion district within the Wheatbelt of Western Australia. Despite those casualties, it's safe to say that the Aussies lost the Great Emu War.

They even used a heavy machinegun of that time n attached it to the upside of the vehicle..
The reason the Aussies lost the Emu War was because they underestimated the Emus.
They learned to recognize the sound of the approaching trucks, and one emu would stand guard while the rest ate.
Plus, Emus are like, 60% feather. It’s REALLY hard to hit a kill shot on them, especially while on a moving truck.
Not even 2mins in and The Great Emu War has been mentioned 😂

A little bit of Emu context for IGP and anyone else who is interested, the reason the war was lost is because emus are so fast and easily alerted coupled with the fact their vital organs are such a small part of their bodies, it lead to situations where they would go through hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammo and only killing like 98 or so emus. The war became more expensive than the damage the emus were doing.
Watching gameplay with you & skilly is so much more enjoyable than alway speed running through the game missing everything and arguments every second..

Like dont get me wrong i got love for icy n everything but there’s literally videos i have to just straight click off of because all i can hear is the fuckin screaming and arguing and blaming indie and skilly. When its just skilly and indie it feels so much more chill and genuine and like they’re actually having fun playing the game. We might get sum hate for this but im sure there’s plenty of people who feel the same way. I watch indies videos BECAUSE of how chill he is in the first place. Skilly can match that chill level but it literally seems like icy just cant…… ✨chill out✨

As an Aussie, I couldn't help but cackle at the pronunciation of emu. The great emu war was an absolute tragedy for us. We killed thousands of them, and they killed our dignity.
Dinosaur + the emu editing part + IGP's calm and deep voice + Skilly's high pitched scream, random noises, and cheerful voice + wholesome friendship = PERFECT

Its just random screeching, starting to talk while others talk, again screeching, starting random fights and he is actively sabotaging the gameplay just to create "funny moments".

I like how everyone imagines the Aussie Emu wars as like this great big deployment of armed forces into the wilds of Australia to go kill thousands of emus when in reality it was like 4 guys, a jeep and a machine gun and they basically just got bored or ran out of ammo and fucked off back to base, thus practically ending the war.

The emu war was real but historically I think they only sent in like 4 guys that were in the military with limited ammunition, to kill them off. The guys ran out of ammo and called it a day. Thefatelectrician does a great video on this.

The aim is to go for the heart for a quick kill rather than the head
So basically, emus organs are all in a very small location in their bodies instead of filling it out entirely like most animals. They can take bullet after bullet and just keep running. They used sentries, basically look out emus that would alarm at the sight of danger. The emus even learned what the vehicles sounded like so they could dip out before they even had chance to be shot at. They thinned the numbers down quite a bit but, yeah. The emus remain victorious 😂
Finally a dinosaur game took long enough
I think this is what the isle should have been when it was still in development back in 2018,a story mode for the lore and also unique types of horror like Eldritch,thalasso,or different missions like hunting the hyper rex, finding caves only for cannibal that want to hunt you down, fighting a large deinosuchus hypo sized.
IGP idk if your even gonna see this but i wanted to say if you enjoyed playing this you should check out The Hunter: Call Of The Wild its the same as this only with more maps (a lot are dlc) creatures and guns. (you can even mod it with nexus mods to make creatures a little more aggressive to make things more challenging) there are rare skins and stuff like albino/piebald you can collect them and store them in a trophy lodge its a great game and would be cool to see you play it (if you havent already)

Skilly is 100% correct. the Australian army lost to Emu’s, because you should never trigger the flight or fight response of a flightless bird.

This game reminds me SO MUCH of the old game Carnivores released on PC back in 1998. Don't believe me? Look it up. I loved it back then, i think I'll love this one lol.
