I think the much more interesting thing that Kat said was that it’s not necessarily a conspiracy to be a plant. It’s just the fact that it’s not an organic process of growing a fan base, it’s a bunch of corporate board members believing that this person is a good product to support. It’s not some diabolical thing, like Katt said they just have more backing and more resources but when it comes down to the audience, it’s not like those people end up being liked anymore than others. Yeah, it does suck that other funnier people are not supported like that, but that’s just a classic corporate thing to choose the safe thing because their whole structure is just about avoiding loss so they’re going to go with whatever they think is safe, and Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer both made them lots of money, so it’s not like you can say they made a mistake.
I think the whole idea of it being some nasty conspiracy cabal is just distracting and it doesn’t teach us anything. It just makes us resentful and not want to try. Christopher Nolan wasn’t a plant and there are plenty of people that are not plants and there’s still plenty of opportunity. Look at what has happened with Shane Gillis .

Katt Williams was on the mark. He didn't diss Joe, just pointed out some of the weak comedians he pushes. Which Joe does because he likes to push comics and wants to see them grow. Katt was mainly responding to the bs that was said about him or others on club shay Shays pod beforehand.

As I said at the end, he mentioned those because those people had mentioned things on the shay shay pod before, and he needed to address them. One of my friends dedicated a year of her life trying to finish 365 books around work and home life in a year. That’s a whole chapter book a day….and people really believe that Kat read 3000 nonfiction books a year at age 8?!?! I don't think he means by industry plant that the person doesn't have any talent. He means that they picked him not just because they thought he was funny, but also because he was moldable and willing to set aside his own principles to abide to those laid upon him. Which is what Katt wasn't willing to do, and thus didn't get those roles. I.e. an industry plant is someone who is able to be marketed in the way the industry desires, because they accept to do so.
A plant can mean someone who can get special privileges when it comes to the process of gaining career traction. Don’t act stupid bro. We know the laughs are there for many shitty comedians and they ain’t millionaires.
