I commute in my wife's 2004 Civic coupe lx. It was her first car in 2006, now it's pretty much 20 yrs old, 205K miles and have had zero problems. Oil change every 4 months with filter once a year (Always buy a top quality one), 3 yrs do a drain and fill for transmission. I drive just about 10K a year. I am hoping it will last and be our oldest daughters first car in 6 years! It's been a great car.
They can be. As long as you have professionals work on it when something inevitably needs repair. If not, it'll cause more problems than the car is worth.
Got a 2004 2 door with rust in the rockers as a daily driver. 2 inch thick stack of maintenance records with the same mileage. Garaged all its life but hit twice. Still drives like a new car , but makes me want a 1971 Buick Riviera. I got stuck with a $1000 college students car that is practical but ugly and lame.
I Love you car I want a cheaper car Honda Civic EX 2005 Gray Model I my mom had a Honda Civic Hybrid 2005 Gray she gave it to a lady she need a car I want a Honda Civic EX 05 💯 good car I want one for my self
It’s hit or miss with this model unfortunately mine keeps breaking down and I regularly service the car. 157k head gasket failed at 149k mine breaks down every 2 months.
@@Intreppidity D17 engines aren’t as great as people say it is. D17s can’t take heat because of the aluminum. I hate the engine because I don’t know if it’s just I’m unlucky but I dropped $3,500 more than what the car is actually worth. I still like this civic but holy shit it’s getting expensive.
Civics are the only car where you can say "only 149,000 miles"
So true!!! If it’s under 200K, it’s still “ONLY”!!! 😆

This civic is good but be prepared to drop thousands of dollars fixing the D17 engine head gasket fails are common with this model.

@@Jmisaprodriver these civics tend to have bad luck it seems. $3,500 is the cost of a new transmission! What the hell? 😂
