      yeah I guess everyone was super-busy with the 4070. Mine didn't arrive yet, so I thought to provide a cooler review instead :)

    It was about time for Corsair to release a decent product for a decent price. Excellent review as always!

    I really think that AIO are a scam. Not only the noise is more important by adding fans, but you also have a pump and leaks are just a matter of time. Not to mention having to deal with a radiator. My only cons with an air cooler are the size and the stagnant evolution of the last couple of years.

    not me squinting at 3:52 to see that be quiet! is still going strong with noise levels against the A115

    Hard to choose anything over Deepcool or Thermalright for aircoolers. Top heatsink performance for dirt cheap prices.

      DeepCool are good indeed, but prices are not that low, for the Assassin IV

    Do you know if this one has a base that is compatible with liquid metal? I know the Dark Rock Elite does, but this one performs better so would be even better with liquid metal. I also am thinking of getting the thermal grizzly contact frame. Nice review thanks.

    • @HardwareBusters
      @HardwareBusters  Год назад

      I am not sure of that, sorry, if it will corrupt the cooler's base or not.

    • @teddym2808
      @teddym2808 Год назад

      Thanks for being honest. I think I will just get the DR Elite since I know it can work with LM and the contact frame I have. I am disabling 8 E cores anyway, I will only be running 16 cores, not 24 as I don't need it whatsoever.@@HardwareBusters

    Which one would you recommend between the MasterAir 824 or the Corsair A115 for the i7 14700k? I just want it to have low temperatures, I don't care about the noise of the cooler.

    Im a bit confused here. What do you mean by saying CPUs power consumption is above 350W if you set PL1 and PL2 to 250W? Whatever I set for PL1 or PL2 is not being exceeded by software measured CPU package power on any of my systems in a given scenario. Does this mean the measured values are wrong or are there other values that add up to the real life power consumption? When I tried to compare cooling capacities of coolers myself in the past i only looked at the average package power (besides of course other values, like temperature, peak and sustained clock speed etc.) So I guess I did wrong?
    Would be glad if you could clear my confusion, still a good video and seems like a good product.

    • @HardwareBusters
      @HardwareBusters  Год назад

      I don't measure through software, the CPU's sensors, but through Powenetics which allows me to measure CPU power consumption on the power connectors, from the PSU, with 99.5% (or higher) accuracy. The same also goes for spikes.

    As an owner of a 13700k with an expensive Asus Z790 Maximus Hero motherboard, using an air cooler isn't recommended. I am more of a workstation user, but I do light gaming with games like Company of Heroes 2 & 3.
    Without Bios and fan curve tweaks, your air cooler will be on a 80-100% fan curve and the noise is loud. I used a Deepcool ak620 with no tweaks and it's loud. Keeps the CPU cool at 72 but it's ridiculously loud. Eventually went with an AIO from Asus. Solved the noise issue.
    Like most pc users, I do not tweak and overclock. I'm a average gamer and use my workstation more for work and media consumption.

      I use a Noctua in my PC, which has an older and quite power hungry CPU, and I don't even hear it. I use to have AIO but I removed them because all I tried were noisy and one of them, a Lian Li, failed after a year of use.

    Mediocre and expensive, as is the norm for Corsair when it comes to anything except power supplies.

  • @cardboardsnail
    @cardboardsnail Год назад

    Thermalright is less than half the price, Noctua has better customer support. What does Corsair offer? The A115 is more expensive than the NH-D15.

    • @HardwareBusters
      @HardwareBusters  Год назад

      at 99$ it is less expensive that the NH-D15 by 20 dollars, in the US, which is a notable difference. But yes the D15 is better. Thermalright coolers, haven't tested any so far since this brand doesn't send anything to me.

  • @EntekCoffee
    @EntekCoffee Год назад

    Too expensive I think. Looks like it's not going to be an alternative to the stupidly crazy value proposition of Thermalright air coolers. PA120, FS140, PS140 are all under $60 and are just below the NH-D15 in performance and acoustics.

    Como explicas que en tu gráfica que el assassin 3 refrigere mejor con hasta 6 grados de diferencia con respecto al Assassin 4? A mi si no me lo aclaras no seé si debo hacer caso a tu canal. Lo digo desde la desconfianza natural viendo estas cosas. Solo si quieres explicarlo.
