"Because I didn't join them I became an adversary." Same could be said for Randy Couture, Francis Ngannou, etc
Randy couture left working for the ufc with zero notice and went to a competing company….. ufc had every right to be mad. Randy should have manned up and said he that they were offering him money he couldn’t turn down and see if the ufc would match or atleast leave in good terms.
@@nvmm166lmao ur so wrong. Randy battled the ufc for nearly his entire career. There’s also no up and leaving if a contract expires that’s the ufcs fault for not locking him down with a better deal.
Dana is a dickhead no two ways about it
@@nvmm166 That's not what happened.
@@jeremyweems4916no one outside of them knows what happens and it cant be that bad since they let his fighters in the ufc to compete
He was the man first guy to hold multiple belts at the same time💯
Guy's fighting style is the way they ask fight now... he was the complete package
He held 2 ufc titles at same time? Or two different organization titles
He won the UFC light heavyweight title, WEC light heavyweight, and Strikeforce middleweight title. Never held any at same time.. but is only guy to hold all 3 titles in those organizations. He went 5-0 in UFC (all 5 title fights)
@@josephbanker3829Dan Henderson won UFC Middleweight tournament (when there was no Middleweight division), 2 Pride titles, and Strikeforce Light Heavyweight title.
Wait a min...
Tito Ortiz and Carmen Electra???
I MUST HAVE BEEN ON A QUAALUDE
She had been with everyone
It was just an ad He was the poster boy. Chuck and others are on it too.
That was Carlos Newton in the tightie-whities, not Tito. lol. Tito always had the flame shorts. Yes, it was goofy. Fun era of UFC though.
100% something more to the story
Absolutely
There's 3 sides to every story.
What 1 party said...
What the other party said....
And somewhere in the middle is the truth.
@@jeremyweems4916 no, there is 4
Yup. Especially knowing how he treated his mother’s dog by leaving it tied to his truck in a random airport garage for 4 days smh. Doesnt really scream good guy to me.
@BigWrangler i just looked that up.this man is evil . Nobody wants an old dog with a bad hip. The dog is only 7 years old
I mean Frank is Frank, but damn guys, Dana is Dana
This is the most based comment I've read so far. And it's true, Frank can say whatever he wants, but He was a difficult person to deal with in business and in general. And we know how Dana is.
@@danInRealifefrank was hard headed and didn’t want these guys to blow up and go too fast and frank was wrong by a lot of
@danInRealife How many times did ypu deal with Frank in business?
Craziest part is it all worked out
How wrong he was is wild too lol they were there yet and it worked perfectly.
looks like they were right...
its so sad this man belongs in the hall of fame
Sometimes it’s just best to be a yes man😢
No it’s not that’s how you get fucked out of a contract
First Mexican champ.
Strange he looks like Ken Shamrocks brother but is not related by blood at all.
What are you talking about?
@@BURDYMAN777 Frank is Ken’s step brother. There’s no relation by blood. My point is, they look like real brothers. Crazy coincidence
@@BURDYMAN777Did your mind just get blown 🤯 lol
4 billions later yara yara yara
Mob ties.
Frank should have said " let's do this "🤔🤔💯
Well, it worked out well for them
Shamrock was very wrong
He wasn’t, ufc didn’t blow up until TUF
He was not wrong at the time whatsoever. The company was hundreds of millions in debt before Forrest Griffin and TUF came along. TUF was not Dana’s idea either.
Kinda try to be fair they only push those that end in good light I mean it’s not weird they never talk about Dj even when talking about the greats it’s like if he just disappeared along with his legacy
Tank speaks highly of this man, haha.
Watched a video the other day explaining the UFC were going to squash the beef and induct him into the HOF due to high demand by fans, frank accepts then decide to shit on them in an interview so the UFC reneged. Frank doesn’t know his place and cries victim, we all know a guy like that
If that's true then he deserves what he got😂😂
They were saved by the ultimate fighter not by advertising
@@ernestp.worrell8871 and saved by Vince Mcmahon, according to Dana. Vince had a right to say who could advertise before and after Raw happened, and he didnt consider TUF to be a threat to him, even tho eh was warmed by people in his company that it would be a big mistake
But he wasn’t wrong. The UFC was in the hole for a long time.
@@03Man11being in the whole doesn’t mean they were wrong TUF is was marketing as well
@@Jc-si6pjThe UFC had been losing money for years and was about to fold when they decided to invest the last of their money to fund the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. And TUF was years after the time period Frank is talking about (when Zuffa first bought the UFC). So their initial marketing plan was largely ineffective and clearly wasted a lot of money, just like Frank said.
Didn’t believe in a team that built the biggest combat sports promotion. Good work Frank.
He was dead wrong… should have just went with the people with money…
Frank was mostly right. Their initial marketing plan was mostly an expensive failure. They wasted so much money over the first few years of Zuffa ownership that the UFC was about to fold completely until they luckily decided to use the last of their money to fund the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. And TUF was years after the time period Frank is talking about in this video.
Dead wrong? He was right, at the time. It took like 6 more years AND forty MILLION to work. Frank was right AT THE TIME.
Yeah bro it wasn't until TUF saved their ass... Long after this happened to Frank, and according to Dana, the last bit of money they had. Luckily it blew up, long after Frank^being honest with them.
You should follow the money!!!
For sure that’s their money frank shouldn’t have inserted himself in that
Frank is a stud . Period
thats the problem with Frank. his ego is too big.
So funny because i remember those days, and hes right, it just seemed awkward and nobody knewcwhat the hell it was or even cared. It was pretty weird to see
Wrong plenty of ppl knew Japan knew Dana knew from jump street and all this we were in debt 40 million in the hole was just for dramatics ! Whatever they made they reinvested that’s why they were in the hole
Seems like their plan worked tho
They were struggling big time before that Ultimate Fighter and Forrest Griffin Stephan Bonnar fight. Frank might have been right then around 2001/2002.
@@JGD185 Could've been but he wasn't
@@ДаниелКаменаров-т4юFrank was mostly right. So you didn’t agree with their plan, their plan built the company into a multi billion dollar business, now your sad bc you can take credit
Forrest Griffin vs. Stephen Bonnar literally saved the company from bankruptcy.
@@wmccinema I wasn’t watching it then, but I have heard a lot of people say this.
@@bobbyt223yeah even after they bought the company they were still losing money for years until they hopped on the reality television trend.
So technically Shamrock wasn’t wrong.
His problem was the same one Carl Weather's had, the attitude that disagreeing and rocking the boat is the way to go, sometimes you have to stfu and go with the flow
Damn Frank could've been near a billionaire if he went along with the plan.
