@Meredith1301 You absolutely can't go wrong buying from Gevorg. No mucking around with crappy or faulty reeds or duduks out of tune. He only sells exceptional stuff :)
Hello @bigbreath, I like how you play duduk. It is inspiring to me. I'm learning to play duduk and would like to ask you where can I find the music sheet for this peace of music? Where can I find good sheets for duduk in general? Greetings from Iceland, Ivan Dugonjic
@@bigbreath thank you for your fast response. I'm trying a bit to play by ear but it's not going the way I want, will work more on that skill. Wish you all the best
Dear Alex , you dont play on the scale, thats why it sounds weird, the mode is called "shushtar" and on duduk its De - Eb - F# - G - A - Bb - C - D . you play on this scale and it would be something like the original music
I do find that the lower keyed duduks (like in the key of "A") are easier to play, but the most important thing is reed quality and hardness. Soft reeds are best for beginners. Forget duduks on ebay - they are pure rubbish - out of tune and hard to play. google "Vache Sharafyan". I bought my duduk and 2 matching reeds from him. He gets them from Gevorg Dabaghyan who is a professor of duduk at the conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia.
@TheLioness1001 The trick is to learn to play from the diaphragm - that's where the strength comes from. It comes with practice, but I never played a wind instrument before the duduk. You DO need good reeds to learn on. Google Vache Sharafyan and he will arrange a good quality in-tune instrument with good reeds. Never buy rubbish from ebay, no matter how convincing the ads look... quality suppliers of duduks are limited and none of them sell on ebay...
I just bought one of Gevorgs duduks with two reeds and I love em!
Amazing!!!!!
Thanks!
dear Alex
Just one word can cover your playing, beautiful !!!!!!
Steen
so nice so nice.....
@BrownsvilleElectric One from Gevorg Dabaghyan. Both reed and duduk are in the key of A.
