Nothing wrong with an 8.8 my 01 is making 704 wheel hp on my 8.8 31 spline strange axles and a detroit true track

The fuel pumps pretty loud
How long did you breakin your Trans and Clutch for. I got the TKX with a dual friction centreforce. Im at 500 km in the city and I know still got 2-300 left but im curious when I can start hammering down again. Any experience with centreforce?
Honestly a few heat cycles and I was banging on it. But that’s not normally recommended
The little psa at the end hits close to home and reminded me of how thankful I have such a good wife and family around me to support me through my crap I put them through. On a side note the grey ghost reminds me of the f100 I’m building, it’s fox swapped “5.0 and t5” with a loud ass fuel pump. It sounds just like this and I used jones mufflers thanks to your recommendation. Keep up the good content it’s really motivating man!

Planning on putting an 8.8 in the stock '55 but need a 327 or 308 gear.

A stock type tank and pickup will uncover the pickup tube on hard acceleration if youre down to 1/3 tank or less.

Yup nicely put, it's a really fun and rewarding hobby but can't lose sight of everything else that's important too. It's not easy but there has to be a balance between work, hobbies, and family life.
Im not usually fun to be around after Im 6 hrs into a 2 hour project in my garage 😅 ...my fam will open the door to make sure Im still alive and then ok bye 😂

I was told a 9 in takes more hp to turn than the 8.8 .. i don’t know if its true or not .. another thing is they put the same 8.8 carrier in the f150 and full size broncos that they do in the mustangs just the axles are different .. btw my 88f150 pulls my 4200 pound gooseneck trailer .. and many times I’ve pulled f250 and f350 4wd trucks .. and my truck has a 8.8 in it .. btw I’ve changed out a-lot more broken 9 in rearends in my 50 years on planet earth than i ever have 8.8 rearends .
Most of the 9s had spindly 28 spline axles. Earlier ones were 1.060 diameter at the splines. 😲
@@hotrodray6802 ive only broke 1 axle in my life and it was a 28 spline 9 in axle .. lol

Brother man, the Grey Ghost is a great build blendiing the classic lines of the 60's and the Fox body inspired drivetrain. Looks and performance in a single package. Beautiful work and sentimental value built by family. Thanks for sharing this build with us. We'll see you next time.
8.8 was a good choice, whatever the HP is I promise it’s enough. Our 65 don’t make near that and it’s plenty 😂. Builds are cool and fun but family comes first
Take it to Ford Takeover and let Alan check it on the dyno. That would be a video I’d watch. Love to hear your commentary on these videos…genuine and honest.
