Honestly I love the long videos. The amount of knowledge you give out is amazing for younger gear heads like myself. So I definitely appreciate the long videos so thank you!
Doing a restomod build, or something that entails multiple upgrades always complicates trouble shooting. Always start with the basics, a very good instructor said the golden rule was Keep It Simple Stupid, KISS. Great vid, bud.
Finally ordered my oil pan and last few gaskets I need for my 347 in my fox. Goal is to fire up before Halloween. I work 60 hours a week so it's hard to be motivated to work more when I get home. But it's been on jack stands with the engine and trans out for a year. Time to get it going again since the weather cooling off.
Definitely one of my favorite channels. Besides a ttop foxbody, 66 fastback is at the top of the list. Besides the expense of buying one, I think repairs would break me. I know very little so would have to pat someone to do a lot of what you do, after finding a reputable place to do it. Gotta go with a 2014 gt. Not the same but a beast of a car. Ok rant over, thanks again for the video
Gents, I am happy, 😁 you seemed to reached a new high, so to speak in the Grey Ghosts performance with the stumble issues... Though I'll looking forward to the next installment, to confirm it doesn't rare it's ugly head again.. Thanks for bringing us along for all of pain, and glory!!!! Keep at it brother 😉......
Happy you got the grey ghost running good again. That timing is insane happy you didn't damage anything. Hell yeah i love the behind the scenes shit. Nice to see ya comfortable enough to spark a blunt up 😂.
That's awesome guys, great to see you had figured it out. Some times when through so much $hit at it, your just happy and relieved it fixed. Great job, glad she is fixed.
As a 25 year old that's been through 7 carbs on my foxbody to try and get happy place that it runs. All of them had the exact same lean stumble. Finally started learning about high speed air bleeds and experimented with different air bleeds. Finally got the stumble out of it. Carbs are not for the weak hearted. 😅 just gotta keep trying things and researching things until you Finally fix it.
Awesome Guys glad to see you figured it out good work!! how much gas did you burn through the whole ordeal lol 👊Gotta test and tune its all part of the fun🦊
Best wishes for a problem solved! If it continues, check if the fuel system causes the fuel to vapor lock. Learned it in 2010, when aeromotive sold a fuel pump controller to limit fuel flow at part throttle to mitigate the fuel from vapor lock when returning continuous high flow. It's an issue for drag n drive cars. If you're bypassing 40-80psi, it is possible to overheat the fuel. Would a full tank of fuel help disperse heat? GL
I think it wasnt one particular problem but a few small issues. What i just went thru on my fox with a dead injector led me to find what was all my other issues. While one injector was dead 2 more leaking. I replaced all the injectors with new coyote injectors and all the other issues i was having, such as a huge backfire on revs, all went away and the car is a different animal now.
Make sure you have a good ground from the engine to the chassis/body (back of the cylinder head to the firewall). If the engine is not grounded properly, weird things will happen. You can get high rpm misfires and weird electrical problems. The electrical problems can be worse at night (with the headlights on), or the with the interior blower motor/fan running. I experienced this many years ago after doing an engine/exhaust swap. After I swapped the exhaust that hand metal hangers to one with rubber insulators, the problems started. While troubleshooting with the car idling, I leaned over the engine with a wrench in my hand, and it arced/sparked against the valve cover (from the strut tower), I realized I forgot the engine ground strap!
Idle mixture is for idle circut though, it shouldn't effect anything else. The power valve and jets are the main things while driving. Limiters are a different thing
Mixture screw are Idle mixture screws nothing else. The idle mixture screw only affect the idle, and the main jets only affect driving down the road or the track.
I'd yank that Terminator out and be done with it. That old dinosaur will be fine without that modern tech in it. When it comes to old car tech, keep it simple
What is a good roller cam for a 10.2:1 sbf 302 in a ‘67 coupe with c4 trans and stock convertor…..fwy gears out back, car is for my teenage son and dont need anything rowdy anytime soon!!!
It's or can be a P.I.T.A!!! Just did a TKX swap on my 91 Formula Firebird.... Was originally a 700-R4 auto, now i got "SPEEDOMETER ISSUES" and doing anything more than 20mph pegs the ECM and speedo at 255mph and kicks the fuel and spark shutoffs... Difference in reluctor "TOOTH COUNT".. TKX = 17, OLD 700-R4 = 40, teeth....... Whenever you get aftermarket stuff it's always a gamble, especially on 30yr+ old cars.... I had to end up buying a $100.00 Dakota Digital box, and now got to play and fine tune the settings on it... World of difference though with the TKX, things from a roll and clutch dump roasts the tires from 1st gear all the way through 4th until i let off, 350CI N/A... Can't wait to see what a Vortech or Procharger does for it i got planned coming up... I used a good weatherpack connector set, you can get a 329pc set with everything needed and the tool is like 20 bucks that covers 14-26GA wires... So for 30-40 bucks you can put on quality weatherproof factory style weatherpack connectors that you know is good instead of the crappy butt connectors stuff... It's challenging, it is... Wiring can be a nightmare but patience is a virtue... I got the same Aeromotive 340LPH pump in mine as well, got to fix the level cause it wont go all the way up when full, don't know if it's hitting something in the tank or not, gonna tackle it tomorrow evening... Great video Brother! Excellent troubleshooting!! The struggle was real! As the saying goes… “That which doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger!” 👊🏾

Glad you finally got it fixed.

Car sounds good those spin techs sounds great
Good job! Sometimes you get it on the 27th attempt, but that just how these ornery cars treat us.
That's awesome guys, great to see you had figured it out. Some times when through so much $hit at it,

Hell yeah brother congratulations..now its party time..we'll after the storm leaves 😂😂..
I know it! Stay safe brother!!
You too sir..😎
Awesome Guys glad to see you figured it out good work!! how much gas did you burn through the whole ordeal lol 👊Gotta test and tune its all part of the fun🦊
Probably at least 10 gallons 🤣

Good to see it running! Will you be at foxtoberfest?

Great news, I like the in detail videos. Are you now setup for spraying and playing with the guys? Or would something need to be added?
Once it proves itself a little longer it’s ready to bolt the plate on 😎
Awesome. Nothing better then figuring out a problem. Where did you get the regulators from? Thanks for the videos they really help.
Jegs 😎
Hell Yeah.!! I’m still waiting for something to go wrong with the timing. It sounds like it has the HP again….
It should be locked in now 🤞
Mixture screw are Idle mixture screws nothing else. The idle mixture screw only affect the idle, and the main jets only affect driving down the road or the track.
Tell that to my AFR gauge
Im surprised you don't have a holley snipper. Your 3/4 aways there. 🤘
Congrats!
Check out your body grounds you may need more body grounds added .
I agree 💯 percent with that statement. I meant to add another ground during the wiring but completely forgot
do you have a ground strap from your motor to the body?
I'd yank that Terminator out and be done with it. That old dinosaur will be fine without that modern tech in it. When it comes to old car tech, keep it simple
Exactly ,😊
Curious how you're running the air filter again , did ya remove the spacer ? 🤔
It’s really close but fits…. 👀
If you can't keep the float Boals full on the carb it will die not enough fuel.
Stay safe during the hurricane

Anderson n41 seems the be the best all around cam from what ive seen from forums and pages. I love my trickflow cam tho.
Can we talk about those subs that are in the back though? What's the setup?
Indy2000 would have had this figured out in 3 hours

Big fat cuban
finally!
How come you test drive it at night alot?
Remember him saying he works 12 hours a day, probably his only free time. I know the feeling
Remove power valve and go up 4/5 jets
Mine is set that way on my 349 but I haven't fully tested it yet, 750 hp double pumper, 80 jets squared, no power valve 31 squirters, annular boosters.

Why dont you just use the full potentail of the terminator X and add them 8 injectors to the Mixture!!!! Just sayin
1+1+1 👍👍😎
🇺🇸
Who cares how you did it. If it happens again, you'll realize what you did as you try again.
That's called science.
Fuel pressure is too low, needs to be at least 7psi.
6 psi is just fine
id get rid of that termi it aint no race car
Terminator is only for race cars now? 😂
@@TheModAddict no but over kill on a driver. look at the issues is causing on a simple carb setup. its not rocket science
Mine is a driver on Terminator x and ive had no issues from it. I know plenty using it for drivers without hitch.
Cursed!
The Terminator x has hella safety things on it that's my guess it was just acting up because it thought something was wrong
Its that bullshit terminator x crap
