It's a good lens but the mk1 version is better for video. The Mk1 is double the weight if the mk2 and possibly a bit softer, but the image stabilisation is better than the Mk2. The Mk1 uses Mega OIS which is superior to the later Power OIS but does not work with IBS to give the best of both. However, if your camera body does not have IBS then the Mk1 would be a serious consideration for video.

Thanks.. well it isn't an macro special lens but you can go preatty close.. i think abour 40 cm from the object or subject...

The only trouble with lens doesn't lock and when walking it expands. It becomes annoying. Any answers to this problem?
I sold it latelz because i wasn't usin it. I have the 12-60mm that fit's best for me and bought an Sigma 16mm F1.4

There is an updated version coming this month that is now weather proof
what is minimum focus distance for this lens ? it good for close up shooting ? for example shooting something on table.
The minimum focusing distance is great.. about 15-17 cm from the object on the table..

hello, tell me at what distance you shot this video on this lens - 42.5 F1.7. if you shoot near, for example, to photograph mechanisms, how many centimeters you need to take to the goal, what distance?
Hey i think that you wanted to put the comment on the video of the 42.5mm not on the 14-140mm :-) When shooting with the 42.5mm F1.7 the minimal focusing distance is 31 centimeters. So if you are closer than that the lens will not focus.

We visited Lovcen National Park this summer as well 😃 I filmed that with my Lumix GH5 and a "pancake-lens". If you are curious about the result, here it is:

...all of your footage with the lens is full of jittering.... well known problem of this lens....
G7 doesn't have IBIS and it was all handheld. On the G85 there is almost no jittering. I made a test in this video: ruclips.net/video/Ocbt8wVh2SE/видео.html
