This is my travel setup, with the addition of a 20mm 1.7 pancake for low light/inside

Thanks for telling us everything about everything Bill. I didn't hear much about the lens performance though and that's what most people came for. All the best to you.

Great video! I bought the 14-140mm ii last year as a travel lens for my trip to Hawaii. I honestly didn't expect much from it being a super zoom but this has become one of my favorite lenses I have used on the M43 system. The image quality is stellar and with the added versatility, it's hard to take this off of my Em5. This is definitely a gem in the M43 world.

Luigiz28, thanks for the comment. Yes, likewise, though I still use my Olympus 12-40mm a lot, the Panasonic 35-100mm, f/4-5.6 14-140mm is usually with me and, as you say, the one lens that pretty much stays attached to my E-M5 II!

    Just ordered one.
Been so tempted by the 12-100 for a long while.
But after looking at some images I took with the 12-32 and plastic fantastic 40-150, I decided if the IQ is as good as those I can live with this lens.
It's going to mean I can take my small bag out too.
The compact size seems worth the slight drop in optical quality.
And when I've used dxo and lightroom I reckon I will be pretty happy.

      @@BillBooz It arrived today.
I love how compact it is. Bit wider but not as long as the plastic fantastic.
Fits in my old bridge camera bag easily.
It's not as sharp as my 100-400 at 100 but it's sharp enough.
I'd say it's close to the 12-32. Same as my 40-150 but better in the corners.
Love how close you can get.
I think I may try and sell the two kit lenses because I'll probably not use them again.
I'm very happy with it and it's going to be so nice to have that range with the one lens.

@@letni9506 glad you’re reasonably happy with it. I’m not as picky as I used to be - in fact, I probably take most of my photos with my iPhone to be honest - and I love the idea of one camera one lens that covers such a nice, wide range! Actually, since we downsized and moved into an apartment in a retirement community, I’ve mostly been using my OM-D E-M5 II with the Olympus 12-40mm pro lens. Your comment prompted me to dig out my Panasonic GX85 with the 14-140mm lens! Thanks for the reminder. I now spend most of my time sketching and painting and using my cameras (including iPhone) to capture things I want to sketch.

A real gem for an all in one. Looks like a fine setup. The two camera 2 lens setup would cover a long vacation with minimal gear

The PNW Rider - you’re right, although one commenter on FaceBook made a good suggestion. Take one camera with 14-140mm and a 20mm, f/1.7 pancake. I have the latter and that makes good sense. The 20mm gives me the wide aperture for low light and the 14-140mm gives me breadth for lots of situations. Now, let’s just see if that actually happens!

The newest version of this lens is now dust/weather sealed

The 14 140 is pretty versatile but I prefer the Olympus 12 100 pro on my G9 . It just seems to be an all around better quality lens.

The new version of the Panasonic 14-140 will be weather sealed and available in June. I hope it's better than the Olympus 14-150 which has weather sealing too, but is delivering such soft images. I bought it recently used, but will sell it again because I won't use it because the poor image quality... so the Panasonic 14-140 II could be the one.

I have the same opinion on Olympus 14-150, have you bought the 14-140II? Is it worth to buy 14-140 to replace Olympus 14-150?
