my chemistry teacher spends an hour on this and I don't get but you just took 6 minutes and now I fully understand it I wish all the teachers could teach like you thank you so much
If anyone is using this for any A-Level Chemistry Spec, you need to draw the full structural formula for your hydrocarbon radicals and stable molecules. e.g not C2H6 but CH3CH3
The overall is just the propagations with the free radicals cancelled out! Oh my god that's incredible. Thank you for the video, you've saved my understanding of this in only 6.5 minutes
We had a teacher try to teach the class this in about 2 weeks and she couldn't, then another teacher went over it and still made no sense you explain it perfectly in 6:30 minutes and now I understand fully, thanks so much.
hello and thank you for all your beautifull educational lessons , i have a questions please : during the propagation stage why the radical C2H5 doesnt react with the stable C2H6?...thx
Do you have to include all 3 possible steps of termination or can you just use one? Also, in propagation step, do you only take off one hydrogen or could it take off more? E.g. instead of C2H5, you get C2H4, taking two hydrogen atoms off for instance?
I don't understand why it creates two bromine radicals but then on the propagation step proceeds to only use one? You say it like the br. is both of the radicals then why not put br2.?

I'm in online lesson and stopped listening to my teacher to watch this
why on earth didnt you tape the paper to the table. its moving around like a free radical
Thanku so much sir..
thank youuu

*Bro* , *mo* *butane* can cook T-bone steaks better than yours.
