    If anyone is using this for any A-Level Chemistry Spec, you need to draw the full structural formula for your hydrocarbon radicals and stable molecules. e.g not C2H6 but CH3CH3

    We had a teacher try to teach the class this in about 2 weeks and she couldn't, then another teacher went over it and still made no sense you explain it perfectly in 6:30 minutes and now I understand fully, thanks so much.

    Do you have to include all 3 possible steps of termination or can you just use one? Also, in propagation step, do you only take off one hydrogen or could it take off more? E.g. instead of C2H5, you get C2H4, taking two hydrogen atoms off for instance?

    I don't understand why it creates two bromine radicals but then on the propagation step proceeds to only use one? You say it like the br. is both of the radicals then why not put br2.?

      yes, because you need the radical to start the reaction
