There are way to many deer in PA, at least in the lower west side of it. And it just gets kinda taxing to constantly actually say Pennsylvania, so much easier just to say PA
Once we were driving home from Bedford, PA. Our suburban hit a deer ON THE LITERAL HIGHWAY (I’m pretty sure I-99), and we had to pull off and our dad was in a different vehicle and he picked us up. And one morning, when my mom left for work, her Volkswagen crashed into a deer ON OUR ROAD! (I didn’t know the exact spot but it was close to our house)

I grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Pennsylvania when I was 16 and very quickly learned a lot about it. Before moving here, my image of Pennsylvania was Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, some old rust belt manufacturing towns, State College/Penn State, Hershey's chocolate, and a bunch of Amish farmland in between. Hello from PA! I'm from the wyoming valley in NEPA but attend school in Pittsburgh. I am surprised when he mentioned Centralia that he didn't mention the Knox Mine disaster! It might not have been huge for the world, but it was what awoken people outside of the mining community to the companies only caring about money. The higher ups in the company that owned Knox had the miners mining under the Susquehanna River and made them mine too close to the river bed for coal. In turn, the river collapsed in and flooded 5 (I believe) mines along the river. It was really bad, though a really cool video can be found on youtube of train cars being dumped into the river to try to plug the hole that had caused a whirlpool.
