- Recently I got my hands on an NLFX brand XLR cables (what I used) and another "leading" brand. I cut them open to show that there ARE differences in cables, no matter what you think! Check this video out and see for yourself!

The cheap one looks like Neutrik's own cable that they made about 2 decades ago. I know companies that still use for rack mounted equipment. Also proofed reliable on stage.
In all honesty:
If you have noise problems, usually you have bigger problems or are not using balanced in/output equipment. Cables have the habbit of transmitting signal or not.
And it looks like a high quality cable but overdesigned. Typically a cable that you would sell to DJs as nowadays they don't even know how to solder.
And I think that about 30 years of experience and working for larger rental companies that I do know what I'm talking about.
Unless you’re running more than 500ft of xlr, you’ll never notice any noise especially in a live environment. I personally like mogami wire because of its flexibility
I wish that were true. I can personally testify that isn't the case though. I've had noise issues due to poor construction on a 20' cable.
Good stuff and it dies make a huge difference

Looks just like a Canare cable.
As the designer of the NLFX cable I guess I'll take that as a compliment because Canare makes great stuff, but I can tell you there are definite differences and I would be willing to bet we'd win in a shootout. :)
@@benstowe7433 I do like the fact that yours is 20 AWG versus 25 AWG that Canare offers. I would ask what the differences are but I am sure that is the secret sauce that you would not want us to know about. LOL
Actually the Dante wires are much better tha XLR
That depends really... Dante isn't a wire, it's a protocol. I'm a level 3 certified Dante tech. There are pros and cons for sure. Because Dante runs on ethernet it is limited to the constraints of that (330' max, etc). Each has a place without a doubt. We're doing a theater install with 492 Dante endpoints in it and it's all wonderful when it works, sometimes it's really nice to just plug in a cable and get sound though. LOL.
